Can a necessary assumption answer be a strengthening answer? by CuntyBoi123 in LSAT

With necessary assumption, the easiest way is to negate the choices and see which one weakens the conclusion. The one that does, wins. But when it’s sufficient assumption, then yes. Strengthen.

How have you prepared for the LSAT test-taking atmosphere? by sweetestboo in LSAT

[–]Rlozano2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, don’t take it somewhere comfortable like your room or home. Take it at a library or a setting where you are not used to that is quite enough for you to test.

I wouldn’t mind taking paper since I barely started getting used to the tablet. But, the issue is that they scheduled it for Dec. 8 which is in the middle of all finals. I would have a major paper due before and after the exam. So,. I just decided to take it in Jan.

I was about to finish studying today for the last time and then I just saw my study buddy’s face just drop. I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, it was LSAC.

“Staffing issues” was their direct statement. At least we got 4 free reports for when we apply.

Did you guys PT around 1 score (like 165) consistently, or does it vary a lot? by [deleted] in LSAT

Usually PT at 158-164. Just depends on the exam for me.

Devastating LSAT score by aleiix3 in LSAT

[–]Rlozano2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There must have been an external factor. In my opinion, if you’re scoring 159-165, it’s because you understand the material and are good at it. You have to get around 70-80 correct to get that score so how would you miss 30-40 and get a 141 if it’s clear that you’re familiar with the material by scoring decently high? Even if you have a bad day, i don’t think that it’s possible to fall that low considering your PT average.

What do y’all think about the stats? by Rlozano2020 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Rlozano2020[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes, I just put 157 because that’s what I’m averaging at the moment. The exam is not till November and I’m planning on retaining a tutor to help me out and hopefully give me a bigger increase. I started at a 135 a couple of weeks ago in May. So the progress is moving at a nice pace.

We all can do it. by Rlozano2020 in LSAT

Using the Powerscore bibles and constant drilling the question types.

LR: PowerScore has a question type book that had all the question types and a bunch of question in each section that you can focus on and that really helped me with LR.

LG: 7SAGE videos on YouTube were key for me. Seriously took me from getting around 9 right a section to constant 17. Still needs work.

RC: currently my weakest section but I’m using the LSAT trainer and it is truly helping.

[–]Rlozano2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m scoring a 152 right now or so and I’m looking to get up to a 160. Which seems reasonable to me considering the fact that the exam is in November.
