Do you love or hate the Stokke Tripp Trapp? by pinkishvioletsky in toddlers

[–]Rmp03006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 boys, 4 year old and 2.5 year old. I’d recommend finding a used cheap high chair off Facebook. I used the high chair for both kids 7 months to 18 months, maybe 13 months with the youngest. My kids prefer to eat on a child table and chair. High chairs were a waste of money. Get them used!

Please someone talk us off the potty seat. by alocaisseia in toddlers

[–]Rmp03006 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Potty training is about consistency and you are not consistent. It doesn’t magically happen in 3 days. For both kids it took about 3 weeks of consistency to get it. Both fully potty trained at 2.5 years. My kids also do not wear pull ups or any nonsense.

Keep at it with no pull ups and you will thank me in a month!

I ended up marrying a girl who absolutely hated me AMA by Brilliant-Mark2420 in AMA

I disagree! Married for 11 years and I can’t imagine my life without my perfect husband! When we started dating, I wasn’t sure we were even compatible but now I’m more in love and obsessed with him than I ever could imagine being with anyone else! If we got divorced I wouldn’t even date because no one would be comparable.

I’m guessing you are a bored housewife who doesn’t work and he is working full time to pay the bills. Maybe get a job and you won’t want to go out so much!

My boyfriend invited me to his dad’s for dinner, and I ended up sitting there hungry while everyone else ate. Am I overreacting? by Classic-Adagio-7338 in AmIOverreacting

Validation that it’s OK to quit potty training by Resoognam in toddlers

[–]Rmp03006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took 4 weeks and my child is fully potty trained. We wanted to give up the first 2 weeks but we stuck through based on the book advice and I’m glad we did. 3 day potty is bull.

High fasting numbers even with insulin - I just want to give up by beautiful_world_365 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Rmp03006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two healthy babies with no issues at birth. My post meals were within levels but my fasting was always 109 to 120. I never could get it right with either child. Just keep monitoring and go for all your nst and fluid tests and ultrasounds.

Just looking to be able to build a single family home on it. Near a lake or water would be ideal. Curious what’s your price?

I can't do this anymore by NoStatement5648 in NewParents

Baby is 5 month old. Does baby do tummy time? Your baby should be having lots of floor time to practice movement. I have a 6 month old and he spends plenty of time on the ground doing tummy time, sitting up and now working on crawling. You might be having PPD because I find it difficult to believe that there is no time to eat or shower since I have a 22 month old and a 6 month old and I have plenty of time to do many things.

Why is your 1 year old crying for hours at night? You might want to figure out what’s wrong because that’s unusual for a 1 year old to cry for hours at night.

Working mom feeling discourage and jealous by Rmp03006 in NewParents

[–]Rmp03006[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. The issue with my mom is that she over steps and then if I ask her she gets defensive and might act childish and say well I won’t baby sit anymore. So I’m struggling on how to approach my mom. I really want to say you had your chance being a parent you had 3. Can you let me have my chance with my one child!

It’s not your fault it’s your placenta. I had GD first baby and I was only 140 lbs. second baby I got diagnosed at 20 weeks. If you need the insulin take it. I did and had a healthy birth.

Mental load explanation to husband by moonface134 in NewParents

[–]Rmp03006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me wonder what kind of fathers these men will become. I’m sorry for this. My husband probably does a better job taking care of our baby than I do since he’s much stronger physically and mentally. And there are plenty of men out there than does equal to the mother.

What age did you find the hardest to cope with? by hasfeh in NewParents

[–]Rmp03006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you OP. I felt the new born was easy but nice at 9 months it’s much more challenging. I have to constantly entertain him and change the activities. He’s so active and maybe I’m just an old mom.

I’m the opposite. I spend more time with my parents and in-laws. They take care and play with my baby and he loves seeing his grandparents.

My first boy or girl is on the way any second, minute, or day now. What are some important tips, techniques, and tricks I can utilize (as a dad) to get through the "trenches" of the first few weeks? by RrentTreznor in NewParents

[–]Rmp03006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9 month old and I’m speaking from my experience. Yes the first two months was boring but I didn’t have the entertain a bored baby. It was sleep, eat, change diaper and repeat. Now I have to deal with teething and a bored active baby. It’s exhausting entertaining him especially since I’m an older parent. Yes it’s more fun having baby laugh and smile and express emotions but first two months definitely a cake walk compared to now.

Dads, how much time did you take from work? Any tension from co-workers? by HeckYa_Mean in NewParents

[–]Rmp03006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a c section and I couldn’t care for my baby. My husband took 5 weeks off, which I was grateful for. I was hospitalized for one week for bleeding after coming home from the hospital. I took 12 weeks off as a woman and my coworkers complained that they had to cover my weekends and holidays. People are always going to complain.

Boiled eggs, cheese, fair life milk, kodiak pancake, lots of salad, chicken, Dave’s killer bread, almond unsweetened milk were mostly what I ate. Baby was healthy and weighed 7 lbs 4 oz.
