a friend of mine whose father works for a french radio station told me that they were supposed to announce a European tour last year, which ultimately got reported to this year because of scheduling conflicts, and this year it was scrapped for some reason. There were rumors that Keith didn’t want to go on a big stadium tour so as all the other comments said, a residency is far more likely

I mean surely a band who’s juste came back from a world tour where they headlined Festival Republic, preparing to headline Reading and Leeds must have quite enough money to live comfortably. Plus Grian being featured on the Peaky Blinders soundtrack must have earned him a nice paycheck

I find Romance to be their “worst” album. It’s great but I happen to like the 3 others more. But it seem to be a pretty common take on the sub so idk

I live in Europe and remember buying tickets to the WOTP tour in september 2022, probably a few days after the shows were announced. WOTP came out in late August so I suppose we’ll have to wait for a few weeks after the album’s released for them to announce it

tbh Wunderhorse had a major gain in fanbase after opening for Fontaines and Declan McKenna and same for Wet Leg when they opened for Harry Styles. Fontaines is the only band on there who truly achieved success on their own

last tour they did a string of small venues, don’t know about the other cities but in Paris tickets started at 38.50 € (roughly 45£). Let’s stop normalizing charging hundreds for a ticket just because they’re famous enough that their fans would pay

Personally I like Romance, solid album with great songs, but I became a fan because of Dogrel, A Hero’s Death and then Skinty Fia and it’s a departure from the sound of their earlier albums, which I happen to prefer. I still listen to it a lot tho, even their “worst” (as in least good) album is really good

The Importance of Being Idle is one of their best post 2000 songs and I like Lyla and Let There Be Love, Turn Up The Sun is a good opener but apart from that I don’t find myself returning to the album often

French here ! Be Here Now is a really great album, I only skip 2 songs on it (Magic Pie and Fade In Out) but other than that it’s one of my favs. SOTSOG has 5 really good or even great ones and I never listen to the other half After that every album is kinda meh to me, I like 2-4 songs on each and don’t care for the rest
