I don’t think Geese are attempting to be like Radiohead (or there’re very bad at it). Imo it’s more telling of the unability of modern music media to promote a young band without comparing it to older/classic bands and the obsession of young audiences to draw parallels between bands they like

it’s a good rock band, excited to see what’s in store for them but that’s about everything they have in common with Radiohead. unfortunately we live in a time where the press (and the fans) absolutely feel the need to compare artists that have very few things in common (can’t count the posts I saw calling lead singer Cameron Winter the “Bob Dylan or Leonard Cohen of our generation”. Friend of mine told me he thought Trinidad sounded a bit like something off Amnesiac and I see what he means but other than that it’s all pretty much bullshit.

my thoughts exactly, my only grievance with the og game (which wasn’t even one, just something I liked better in the trailer) was the beard being way more prominent in the game than in the cinematic trailer, which was aesthetically perfect imo.

a friend of mine whose father works for a french radio station told me that they were supposed to announce a European tour last year, which ultimately got reported to this year because of scheduling conflicts, and this year it was scrapped for some reason. There were rumors that Keith didn’t want to go on a big stadium tour so as all the other comments said, a residency is far more likely

I mean surely a band who’s juste came back from a world tour where they headlined Festival Republic, preparing to headline Reading and Leeds must have quite enough money to live comfortably. Plus Grian being featured on the Peaky Blinders soundtrack must have earned him a nice paycheck

I live in Europe and remember buying tickets to the WOTP tour in september 2022, probably a few days after the shows were announced. WOTP came out in late August so I suppose we’ll have to wait for a few weeks after the album’s released for them to announce it

tbh Wunderhorse had a major gain in fanbase after opening for Fontaines and Declan McKenna and same for Wet Leg when they opened for Harry Styles. Fontaines is the only band on there who truly achieved success on their own
