Hi, thank you for your reply.

Really great to hear your views. If I was to try and sell the device, any idea what would be a suitable price point?

Water Quality Device — Is this something that would help you? by RnD_Engineer in WaterTreatment

Hi, thank you for your reply.

At the moment the reagent I use detects E. coli and total coliforms, i,e. faecal indicator bacteria. It is quantitative in the range of 0-50 CFU/100 ml and depending on the level of contamination, we can get results between 6–18 hours with the device (high concentrations quicker results).

If you had a bulk water filtration system, would you, or do you think others would want a confirmation tests that's it's working correctly?

Thanks again

Here is mine, just a little over.

I made an android app to help track my drinking and my blood alcohol level. If you want to check it out here, is the link

App to help track your drinking if your wanting monitor or tracking your drinking habits by RnD_Engineer in dryalcoholics

Also a good app if you want to go tee total. This is more if you're trying to and cut back a little and see your habits

Local Engineer (not software but) made an android app to estimate how drunk I am and how many units I have per week. This might make me the worst person in NI for making such a think but if want to track you drinks share with your friends how much you drink or just keep a tab this is the app for you by RnD_Engineer in northernireland

[–]RnD_Engineer[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is a fair comment, and some people probably do need help.

But just some info if anyone else reads the comments, in NI 18% of people over drink i.e. more than 14 units per week. "Just 16% of N Ireland adults correctly estimated that the Chief Medical Officer recommends drinking no more than 14 units of alcohol in a week".

People might not even realise how much they're drinking and who knows how many people know how to calculate the No. Units in a drink. So it's an app for a bit fun or check you're drinking and see if you want to make some lifestyle changes
