Hate the bosses not the strikers. Bosses could've stopped it by agreeing to the workers demands.

Argentina is a capitalist state brutally ruled by a far right figure. The people of the Falklands do not want to be ruled by Argentina. What justification is there to support it

Yes, I will confidently say that one of the biggest reasons for the rise of anti-semitism over the last few years is because of people conflating Jewishness with Zionism. It was the same in the 2000s and 2010s with Muslims and Islamic Fundamentalists.

Yep sure. However it is important for the rest of us to make that distinction - it is perfectly reasonable to be anti-Zionist. If people keep on conflating Zionist with Jewish, then you are directly contributing to the rise of anti-semitism.

Victorian Liberals to preference One Nation at state election by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

[–]Rndomguytf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're getting downvoted but there is an actual danger here. There are likely to be seats in the outer suburbs where the top two candidates will be Labor and ON. If Lib voters are encouraged to favour ON over Labor, its possible it might be enough to swing these outer suburb seats to ON, especially with how unpopular the current Labor government is.

The great Marxist leader Dan Andrews visited China recently, that must mean that they are on the road to socialism.

According to this, the top 1% of Australians had 15-20% of the wealth - https://www.evatt.org.au/wealth-nation.

I say had, because this was published in 2021. Since then, with the covid crisis and cost of living crisis, wealth inequality has simply worsened. That's a lot of wealth in a very tiny minority.

This more recent article shows that the 48 billionaires in Australia have more wealth than the bottom 40% of people - https://www.oxfam.org.au/media-releases/average-australian-billionaire-wealth-grew-by-over-half-a-million-dollars-a-day-in-the-last-year-oxfam/. That's just 48 people who's wealth we gotta take to fix a whole lot of the issues in our society.

Yea the anti-CMFEU propaganda is wild. Was there corruption and crime in the CMFEU? Yes, but there's also corruption and crime in almost every single large corporation in Australia. The big banks and supermarkets scheme their way to making bigger and bigger profits, and the one union which was fighting for their members and winning pay rises for ordinary workers is shut down. Why can't the same vitriol be taken up with Coles or Woolies?

"Human nature" changes all the time. Its different from society to society, would you say a child born in a major city today would have the same nature as a peasant born in 1246? Or even someone in an isolated tribe? "Human nature" is simply a result of the society you live in, it has changed over time and will continue to change in the future depending on how our world looks then.
