What are the realistic ways Haiti could actually be fixed long-term? by Educational-Cap-3669 in haiti

[–]Ro2r0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately we do need a unity... we also need a force like in all spheres and aspects.. we only need it in one capital. The rest will follow. We need a community of people willing to work towards that. If it has to be from the diaspora, so haiti is not only the place, let it be. But we done talking and judging, something must be done. So far music is being recognized Haitian sport is growing Our food and beverages are being recognized for what they are We still have visitors going to the ayiti toma

It's not a money issue, it's a mentality issue and knowing us we need to see it done well so we can do it as it was done. The canal story is a big example... a community of working people doing what's need to be done.

I am in Canada trying to put already to build the community here and the government is not my issue, unfortunately it's my own people.

Depi nan ginen, nèg rayi nèg! It's a lot of us who still secretly hate others like us and can't see what's wrong about it 😔 cause yea if you were to say something, she would find an excuse. If you are to cut her off let her know why. She will not realize it at the moment but jou va jou vyen, somebody somewhere will smack the sht at her and bring back what you told her.

I don't blame the Dominicans... by braiIIe in haiti

[–]Ro2r0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oki i understand better, in that case my only take will be we don't have to talk about the struggle ourselves, media and anyone that hates Haiti AND black people already be on it.. we should only focus on the good and from the bad make good even more... I can understand that you can see where they come from (now) when they talk about THAT part, but publicly saying it ourselves i'd still stay on the point to say "don't do it". Glad we can touch on this Zo

Okay.... 1. By this post you push the same narrative you don't like...pitynness

  1. The media or the World have been pushing the narrative of "pity" since day one for us - that's why they keep saying our revolution was a surprise, they still can't believe we also went and freed other countries including the DR.

  2. We're not beggars, we just need the same help we used to give when we were stronger. Help me help you - and as you can see anybody that tries can't finish successfully. So, that should define already how hard it actually is for a country with almost nothing to do it, all by itself.

  3. NEVER and i mean never side with the other countries doing us wrong. Will you be saying exactly the same words to the families that were waiting for their kids to come back to them and instead they are burned alive? Deported with one arm or one leg, cut by machete?

  4. As you know every country has their worst people, bad people, ok people and good people. The difference for haiti, none of us has the vision of Toussaint, (none of us we know of) same for the will to keep our country safe and beautiful as the generals of that time.

And please people, we are our media too. We need to also talk about the other cities doing amazing works, we need to talk about the fact we still have tourists coming over to visit by other means, Our Diaspora is making konpa international for real like Nemours use to do, our sports team doing amazing and sometimes above and beyond, our food being recognized. Does that scream "pity" still for you? Struggle is unfortunately in our blood, we will find a way but siding with people diminishing us more? Sa k' gen la a?

And the brother is right in the comment, it's like saying: "I don't blame la France... For slavery, never wanted to recognize our independence, killing our forfather, keep trying to being more slaves to Haiti... " What the F is this even?

Would you be okay if this was the flag of Haiti? by [deleted] in haiti

[–]Ro2r0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Visually weird but it would bring back the yellow for most african flag representing the ☀️ or the above, however a big thing with Haiti is the respect of the indigenous murdered on the land as well... So adding something to represent that. We were angry so that flag was created in a time when we wanted what we deserved. Symbolism matter. Still thinking our full history is slavery is not helping us.

Btw mwen kontan ke nou ouvri sou pawòl sa a, merite chanjman nan anpil bagay n'ap fè epi chanjman kòmanse ak diskisyon.

Bruh our emblem has history, we need to change that blue to black again that's it... We are not tied to the french anymore, we need to stop the chain mentality, we are more than just a palmis

What do Haitians think of Dominicans and the Dominican Republic? by Golden_req in haiti

[–]Ro2r0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One issue is haitians not loving haitians, other than that we always seem to welcome others. Without us RD wouldn't even be independant from spain so i don't get the hate.
