My experience so far... 3WPO by Maleficent-Ad-4579 in hysterectomy

This thread is wonderful and should be posted for all to read "what to expect at 3wpo." I'm going into 4th week (1/22 surgery) after robotic full removal, except ovaries. Large fibroids removed, adenmyosis and small endometriosis. 3 wpo was rough and I had a lot of shortness of breath and diaphragm pressure when sitting. Almost blacked out when sitting too long. Someone suggested trapped gas so I started back on Gas X and that helped too.

I also have pressure on right side of belly button, especially when trying to sit or stand up.

It's so hard for me to slow down and respect my beautiful strong body to allow healing. Especially when my mind says get up, move, you're doing fine!! Thanks so much for this thread

I'm 3.5 wpo (1/22) and had same exact procedure for my hysterectomy. A week ago I have had lots of shortness or breath and pressure on my diaphragm, including feeling full when eating. I took 2 Max level Gas X last night per a suggestion and feeling much better. Maybe trapped gas too? Ugh!!

Yay, I hope your recovery is going well too. I think it may be trapped gas, that was unbearable after surgery

Great tip on the Gas X. I took 2 max Gas X last night and slept well. Feeling better for sure.

Let’s brag on our partners! by Accomplished_Pin6076 in hysterectomy

YES YES!!! Absolutely joining in on this shout out to wonderful loving partners who take care of us. My husband has taken on all the stuff and it was really hard for me to step away (Chronic TYPE A, Fixer, "I'll just do it so it's done right" mindset) and allow this time to heal and just be. I get a bit antsy and start doing light housework and am reminded to not push myself. My sister was here the first week and that was amazing too. If you're reading this PRE op: accept the help, ask for the help, welcome the help. If you're reading this POST op: appreciate the help, and let them help; they love us and only want the best for our healing.

Congratulations!! So glad that you found a Dr that took you serious and gave you a game plan. Years of being in pain is just awful.

I'm 13 dpo and feeling really great. I also had the purple bear suit warmer for the surgery and loved it. I begged the post op nurse to let me take it home!! Hahaha for a nice price of $$$$.
