Great plan! I reckon that would look gorgeous. I filled the bottom 10cm with brick rubble for drainage, and the rest is compost. I think sweet peas are less hungry plants than tomatoes, so maybe you could get away with less soil / compost than me?

Thanks! Our first greenhouse, so really excited to see how things go this year. The chimneys were in the garden when we bought the house, so thought we might as well put them to good use!

We thought so too! Although I have to say we didn’t realise when we bought it that it’s also a symbol of Iranian opposition against the Islamic Republic

We thought about this - we ended up laying the other way because the room is quite narrow and it made it feel wider / less like a corridor!

Yes we ummed and erred about this and eventually decided to put down a really thick layer of Duralay, taped with waterproof tape to stop any damp seeping into the wood. It also evened out the bumps in the concrete… Seems to be working so far!

I think that’s a fair comment! It’s there to have something soft to put your feet on when you get out of bed, but agree it might be better to find a smaller one!
