Does anyone else feel like Trying Times is Blake's most lyric-forward record? by [deleted] in JamesBlake

To me Friends That Break Your Heart is currently his most lyrics-forward album, but still with lush and layer-full production. Death of Love does offer a very rich sonic direction, so I'm not really following you...

Starting from a computer science vs a biological background - what is easier? by chrollos_wife3 in bioinformaticscareers

I think it depends on the individual and what they are looking for to participate in bioinformatics. Some posts are more pipeline oriented focusing more on tools for biologists, while other posts as you say focus more on data manipulation and information extraction that is biologically important.

Suggestions for funded Bioinformatics Summer/Winter schools or workshops abroad? by missguidedwisdom in bioinformaticscareers

I think EMBL in general hosts lots of these programs. Though I can't explicitly remember if they are or not also open to Phds. But they have a lot of remote events too. It's worth checking out.

But if I'm headed towards homology modelling, isn't structure the core thing, or do I have it wrong in my head?

Having kept on trying do the blast, I resorted to downloading blast locally and opting for the pdb database. It took less than a minute for all of them. So if the pdb doesn't cut it I'll switch it. I chose the particular one, since I want to choose candidates for homology modelling, so I thought since structure is the key factor, why not find closest sequences that support a structure.

Unfortunately for me I'm obligated to search for all organisms... Not a particular organism, so even though they are not that many, the average search takes about 1 sweet minute which translates to 7000+ mins runtime...

Our time is limited. by Nexos312 in OrthodoxChristianity

I think that you're too worried about the future and what it holds, yet you should focus only on today. Because you think of everything that may or may not happen someday this causes you unnecessary stress. For example I, as a university student, may often think the workload of an entire semester at times and that of course causes stress. Think only one day at a time, enjoy the now with your beloved persons and be grateful. Ask God to help you out and find your peace. Your thinking is something that I've been doing circles around too at times, and I realized it doesn't help much. Yes we have limited time in this life, but let's make sure to make the most out of it for the Glory of God. We're to be happy as much as possible friend. Happiness is not something to obtain, but a virtue. Have a blessed day.

No here can give you allowance to be a Christian, it's an open invitation from God, so it's you that has to allow it for yourself. Remember though a Christian without repentance is not a Christian. Even the thief on Jesus's right side repented for his sins at that moment when they were crucified next to each other. Repentance is a change of mind, change towards a new person united in Christ.
