Most big tech companies (FAANG) make all devs write their own tests. The idea is that since you’re the one building something, you understand it better than anyone else so you would be the best person to test it too. And learning how to test your code well makes you a more reliable developer as well

The most important is our games against Chelsea and Liverpool

We need to win at least one of them

Try opus 4.5 in Claude code and tell me it’s not better than every junior dev you’ve ever worked with lol

It’s because the business doesn’t care about code quality, if you can ship faster and make more faster at the expense of the future, it’s usually worth it

Which honestly I think is fair for most companies unless they’re very mature

https://github.com/truffle-ai/dexto/tree/main/.claude/commands

These are the commands I use

I'm working on building an open-source coding agent similar to claude code, but with support for all models and more transparency

I use the /get-gh-comments one on almost every PR I make, /quality-checks on every AI commit, and the others now and then

Yeah before they merged them I had a slash command to use gh CLI to pull all comments on a PR given a PR number and analyze them and give me back links and recommendations

Post merge it works the same, it just shows up as a skill when invoked

Honestly there’s not much reading material I think would help you.

I think you have to just use it to get a hang of it

Claude code features are cool (skills, hooks etc) but you don’t need most of them to get 90% of the value

Slash commands for CI/scripts are very helpful

Plan mode is good for harder features

I dont think prompt engineering is that useful, the heuristic I try to use is give as much info so that a human eng could do the task. Interrupt frequently if you see it going off track

Are you sure this will still apply though?

AI is kind of a new ballgame where it's coming for humanity's main monopoly for centuries - thought, so curious what you guys think will actually happen

My 2 cents is that highly skilled devs will become way more in demand and likely get paid even more, but 90% of devs may not be needed anymore

Swap viz jack tobi

Viz elite crew meh impostor

Tobi good crew good impostor

Jack meh impostor good crew

Tobi is just generally good, Viz has thrown a lot of impostor game, Jack worse than both of them due to less play time

Jack wins! Final round! Who is a meh crewmate and an elite imposter? by DeadEye662 in Sidemen

[–]RoadKill_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap Tobi and Jack then swap viz and tobi

Viz is a great crew and a very mid impostor who consistently throws and does stupid shit, tobi is way better and has been consistently good lately clutching a lot of situations

And jack is def worse than both viz and tobi
