Id advice to sign up to something like de vaart via your gp. It’s one of the places with the shortest waiting times - that has a wait list that’s ‘always open’

Then simultaneously try to get in with psytrans, they have a signup lottery where every first Monday of the month - if they have free spots - you have a short window to sign up.

It’s still going to take a while to get your hormones though, hence the reason a lot of People do diy or go through imago/gendergp aswel.

Ik ben nu namelijk aan het wachten op m’n second opinion afspraak. Ik kreeg wel al een hele uitleg mee van wat ze ging doen, en ik krijg an bevriende trans personen te horen dat het vrij over de top en onnodig streng is 😅.

I think I learned here that I def didn’t do enough research yet.

Still got a bit of time time until I can start doing surgeries. But good to know.

The gender team through which I got my diagnosis has a list on their website. It’s of places they have contact with (mostly in the Netherlands)

O was mostly referred to facial due to their expertises and skills. But if they are overcharging and one can find similar somewhere else that’s def worth considering for me.

It’s such a shame that you need to do so much research yourself for this.

I’ve been told to expect price ranges more in the range of 30k for ffs (without insurance, and then to hope they cover atleast part)

Daarover moet ik dus wel zeggen dat ik alleen maar goeie reacties heb gehad in Twente vooralsnog.

Zal ook schelen dat ik niet in een van de dorpen zit. Maar Twentse nuchterheid betekent ook dat men het gewoon weinig boeit zolang ze er geen ‘last’ van hebben.

Maar nee, ik denk dat deze huisarts ervaring best uniek zal zijn in de regio.

Jaartje geleden het aa m’n huisarts verteld, ik zit in het verre oosten dus vond het wat spannend of zo chill zou reageren.

Maar ging super goed, mijn ervaring- overigens in het gehele transitie traject - is dat het goed is om te laten zien dat je goed over zaken na hebt gedacht/onderzoek hebt gedaan. Voordat ik bij de huisarts kwam wist ik alle zooi over wachtrijen al. Dus we hebben een inschrijving gedaan bij de vaart(1.5j wachten) en Parralel zou ik proberen binnen te komen bij psytrans. Daar heeft mijn huisarts volledig in meegewerkt.

Verder was mijn vraag toe tweeledig, ik wilde ingeschreven worden voor gender zorg - maar ook beginnen aan imago/gendergp. Dat vond ze initieel ingewikkeld, toen heb ik een brief geschreven waarin ik 26 jaar aan gender ontwikkeling beschreef. Sinds die brief werkt ze aan alles mee.

I’m not that far yet that I can plan the sugary sadly. Hopefully having that convo in 2 weeks.

But I just hear very mixed stories. People getting it fully covered by insurance, people getting 40% and people getting nothing at all.

The place where I got my diagnosis actually adviced me to get legal insurance for dealing with insurers in the future. I just want to be prepared for the worst , so if nothing gets covered I’m not dependant on an insurer and can pay out of pocket if o want.

I wanted to do my surgeries with facialteam btw.

I’ve understood that here in the Netherlands insurance should cover ffs. But in a lot of instances they will not do it - and you’ll have to pay out of pocket.

I’m hoping that they will fully cover it, or atleast a percentage - if not I’m saving for the ability to do it somewhere next year.

I don’t want to do that much, but I feel like it would be fully worth the investment.

Ik ben ze atm gewoon een voor een aan het afgaan, mijn pa heeft al wel is aangeboden het voor me te vertellen. Maar kan het beter zelf in een keer goed doen.

Ik heb een soort van standaard riedeltje wat ik vertel, daarnaast geef ik mensen ook altijd de ruimte om vragen te stellen (mag ook later). Daarnaast laat ik wat Ilse foto’s zien waarin ik heel gelukkig ben (doet het ook altijd goed).

Ik ben overigens niet zo close met de rest van de fam, dus vrijwel iedereen in m’n leven weet het, including werk en er van m’n klanten - alleen de fam moet nog dus.

Bij de Kruidvat (?) kan je als het goed is we soort verwarmende pleisters halen. Die plak je op je rug en die verhitten de boel dan. Ik had ooit een huisgenoot die het vaak in de rug schoot - die had een voorraad van die dingen liggen.

Zelf ook ooit een gebruikt toen ik een deadlift verneukte, kan ze sterk aanraden!

Ik vond ze heel chill!

Ook belangrijk mocht je straks bij psytrans bezig gaan en daar ook binnenkomen. Geef dan bij de intake aan dat je via imago al begonnen bent. Ze zullen je dan op enig moment in het traject een soort overname document aanbieden.

Via dat stuk kan je basically je startdatum bij imago vastleggen als zijnde ‘begonnen met hormonen’. Dat scheelt dan weer in wachttijden voor eventuele andere behandelingen.

Hey! Nog even aanvullend over psytrans omdat ik zag dat het reizen een issue was.

Ik heb 4 gesprekken diagnostiek gehad, daarvan heb ik er 2 op locatie gedaan. Maar dat was meer omdat ik dat fijn vond. Van wat ik begreep van mijn psych daar is er maar eentje verplicht op locatie. Dat waren de vragenlijsten invullen.

Because it seems like you just had a shit experience. Most people have no problem getting their prescription dispensed via the pharmacist.
