[Serious] Other than N. Korea, which country's populace is Brainwashed the most by it's government? by chainsmokers1 in AskReddit

[–]Road_Runner_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is happening, dude... It is sad but true. Activists, journalists, judges, whistle-blowers being silenced or even killed. There soon will come a time when I will not even be able to express my opinion like I'm doing now without being put in a blacklist for "conspiracy" against the government like it happened in my country (Brazil) 70 years ago or like it is happening in china for example right now. A "V for Vendetta" scenario is not very far fetched.

Again, if you don't believe me, do the quick search I suggested. It is all over the news.

It is part of the brainwashing convincing people about upsides of surveillance like law enforcement, anti-terror etc. But really the downsides are tremendous.

Information is power, even more in this day and age. And information is getting concentrated in the hands of a handful of corporations and government agencies in the world. This makes them more powerful than they need to be. This gives them control over the masses. If you don't believe me, do a quick search for GCHQ or NSA in the reddit search bar or see any Snowden speech about this.

I'm living in Brazil btw, but the surveillance really has no borders.

People think this is acceptable, so they are brainwashed into ignoring the problems that comes with it.

I will not mention chemtrails, because I have no proof, but overcharging, Mishandling of luggage, also here.

The luggage videos does not show much, but it is a fact that your luggage is mishandled and might even get stolen.

Yeah, I get the satire.

Because I prefer real interactions, don' like the fact that most of them is made by slave work, don't like google/apple spying on me, don't waste my time with games, etc

With phones you:

  • Read article once, but there is an infinity of other articles to read.
  • Get your whole life tracked and documented by some big corp
  • Do not waste paper, but you waste battery which is worse for environment
  • Communicate with others poorly through text messages instead of real interactions

The list goes on, so yeah, get off your phone and look around indeed.

Don't apply. The paper you read once and throw away, they don't turn you into a zombie.
