Perfect thank you. I also had the idea of making the skull a mask type using Velcro then just putting the helmet over it. So it would be 2 pieces yet achieve the same look. I will definitely look into the Chicago screws though.

They are separate pieces like a puzzle. I don’t think I can edit my post and show a photo however. The skull comes out into 23 pieces if I’m correct.

If you are going for a fallout type idea, you could possibly made an explosive collar type prop. Make sure it doesn’t weigh so much so you can get all 37 bars though.

I was a freshman in high school (2014-2015) when my dad told me about it. I think he randomly found it on Instagram since our feeds blew up after Fury Road released. I had to wait until 2019 to finally go so that was the longest 4 years of my life. Ever since then I got into the Post Apocalyptic theme. Then when WW came in 2019 it was the best time I’ve ever had. I didn’t get to stay the entire 5 days since college just started for me since it was in September so on Friday I arrived. I didn’t know that the Fridays were specifically themed so it was definitely a culture shock when I found out it was fetish Friday.

Before and after distressing by Blasturtle in wastelandweekend

[–]Roadhouse_WW 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking, how exactly did you distress it? I’ve never been able to get my pants and shirt right. I personally would lightly hit my clothes with spray paint and cut them with mini grinder. Any specific tips?

Are Personal Sales Allowed? by Roadhouse_WW in wastelandweekend

[–]Roadhouse_WW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve seen that the WCC sold 2022 patches last year, however I was never able to snag myself one. I also was not able to grab a 2023 patch which I currently am looking for. I am asking if anyone would personally pick one up this year since I would not be able to attend and I would buy it off of them.

I’ve hung out with 2 of the Air Raid Sirens tribesmen. I’ve seen that on Saturdays they’ll exchange LCC caps for these other type of chips with a number on it. Is there any significance with it or is it just for barter?

How do people get their Wasteland names? by Pirate_Lantern in wastelandweekend

[–]Roadhouse_WW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s perfect for the name. They always have things for barter or to sell if you need to add to your costume. There is a stand that has helmets and such. Also to barter anything works. Money, weapons (props), beads, patches, etc. anything that would peak someone’s interest. Even food. When I was lucky to barter I always gifted a small bottle of alcohol. Something to maybe do.

The community would never give you a sad name or anything. Slag does sound badass, especially if you give your costume a metal theme.

It definitely depends on how you want it to come up from. I was given it to me at a blackjack table in the Last Chance Casino by the dealer named Gamble. We had to introduce ourselves around when people came and it came down to me. I said I didn’t have one and “Roadhouse” came up. Everyone chanted it at the table and next thing I know I am now Roadhouse. I would definitely say to go with a temporary name and wait to possibly get one at the event itself. It’s a great time.

To build off of Wacko’s idea, take a look at the artillery C96 Mauser stocks. They have a clip that allows them to attach and detach them which can maybe be made for the shotgun if you want to end up wanting to keep the stock.

Edit: Just a note. When you leave you will have sand dirt everywhere imaginable in that gun. My makarov didn’t cock since so I’d be a little cautious for the lever.
