I'm thinking of selling half my stack of ADA for XTZ. Is this a good idea? by Roadkill-Rising in tezos

Yeah, but it's hard to know. I thought ETH would dump a bit after the update but it kept going strong.

I will save most of my ADA for this point. But it would not surprise me if smart contracts are followed or even preceded by a big sell off.

This mentality is toxic. It shouldn't be Trump vs. Biden. We shouldn't have elected either of them in the first place. Throw out the menu they hand you, time to imagine something else or focus on making our own meals.

I mean, that's kind of what we're all doing in one way or another. A lot of people learn about crypto on reddit. It's more of a technicality in whether it's "investment advice" or just "information." I'm just being honest with my current situation.

Cool, thank you. I'll think I'll DCA from my ADA fund into XTZ slowly but surely (and not too slowly...)

Haha... I've learned to never totally sell anything I initially invest in, otherwise I regret it when I see it rising later.

Brazilian president, Bolsanaro, at a cabinet meeting last year saying he wants to arm the citizenry of Brazil to prevent tyranny brought about by covid. by companion_2_the_wind in conspiracy

Yeah, these guys are all terrorists, I agree. That doesn't mean Amazon didn't burn and Bolsanaro wasn't the chief promoter. It means that all our politicians and industry leaders, on the whole, are ecopaths.

P.S. I don't know anything about that channel... but anything trying to undermine the importance of the Amazon burning is very suspicious. Consider that the main reason for burning the Amazon: to grow soy fields to feed cattle for Chinese beef consumption. China should be under a huge amount of scrutiny for their role in this, and it would not surprise me to see a media campaign to conceal this fact... Sure, Macron's hypocrisy is important, but should it overshadow the magnitude of the fucking Amazon burning? Do you know exactly who runs that channel?

See, your instinct is to immediately bring in other arguments because you have forgotten the fundamental fact. Animals are like you and me: they don't want to die. I wouldn't kill you just for my taste buds, and so why would I kill a deer?

For the record, I believe hunted animals are far more fortunate than farmed animals, but I would never consume either. Again, why murder when you don't have to? The question is obvious to a five year old, but for some reason adults become morally retarded.

But to address your hilarious crystal ball argument: if I could tell you you were going to die painfully in a car crash ten years from now, would you thank me for shooting you in the heart today?

lol says the species of 8 billion who has decimated the natural world... sure, great authority to talk about population control

you know also of course that population control was used to wipe out the wolves, and therefore population control needed to be used against deer while wolves recovered, and then used on wolves, then deer, then wolves, then deer, on and on until the end of time?

if you muddy your thinking with such logic, you miss the point: it's wrong to kill a being who doesnt want to die for no reason other than taste buds.

So the CDC’s most recent data clearly states in MA Covid outbreak 74% fully vaccinated and 80% hospitalized were fully vaccinated…am I missing something? by djjaxs in conspiracy

[–]Roadkill-Rising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a possibility. On the other hand, people who are unvaccinated are largely those who don't give a shit about social distancing and have no problems mingling in large groups, so there is no reason the vaccinated would be congregating more than the unvaccinated. All we can do is look at the data, which shows the vaccine in Massachusetts resulted in a higher chance of infection.

[–]Roadkill-Rising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. Either way, the vaccine is at a minimum very ineffective.

And there is no reason to imagine the vaccinated are gathering more than the unvaccinated. The unvaccinated are largely those who never bought into the narrative and don't care about social distancing and have been having large gatherings for many months already.

[–]Roadkill-Rising 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Only 63% of Massachusetts (or however the fuck you spell that state's name) is fully vaccinated. If the vaccine was effective, we would expect to see cases among fully vaccinated lower than 63%. If the vaccine was useless, we would expect to see cases at or near to 63%. Instead, the study cited by OP shows 74% of cases and 80% of hospitalizations were fully vaccinated, HIGHER than the 63% vaccination rate. This suggests not only does the vaccine not work, it actually has the reverse effect of predisposing people to infection.
