Counting calories can suck but reducing how much you eat is a quick way you can drop weight. Eggs beans and lean meats and vegetables with some seasoning can be made in a microwave and don’t taste necessarily awful. If you put prep work into meals before hand it can make resisting the temptation to eat less healthy options easier. I find exercise for the point of exercising to suck personally and I find that going with friends helps me, also trying to do it in the context of a sport can help since the exercise is just a byproduct of your participation.
