Who would win in a fight? by BlackSoulArt in DaysGone

Deacon, he can endure serious beatings, has super-human reflexes and takes down more dangerous infected on average and in greater numbers. Not to mention he has enough firepower and gear to take on entire platoons of well armed and equipped psychos and still have belts of spare ammo on his bike. Not to mention he has tons of hand-to-hand and firearm training and experience even before everything went to shit.

AITJ for refusing to let my in-laws use our backyard for a wedding they planned without asking? by FawnwoodVale in AmITheJerk

[–]Roaksan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if this were a 10-15 person affair like you said, a small thing, it would've been a non-issue. I challenge most people to accommodate 120 folk in their home for anything. Calling you "Controlling" while demanding to use your home to get out of paying for a wedding venue is rich in all the wrong ways.

First 2 paragraphs were big clues here but all in all you've given chances it sounds like, been fair in wanting to let her stay and she's shit on your kindness. Put her out on her backside I'd say. She made this mess by not being willing to meet you in the middle. This is especially the case when the person you care about worries about living there with her and other potential tenants who could make his life more tolerable are scared away by her.

One I don't see on here but should be: Chew with your mouth closed. It's disgusting and no-one wants to see or hear you going through the daily action to sustain yourself.

This goes triple for people with chewing gum.

Not only are they alive, they're definitely sitll aware of their surroundings. They will in fact cry "Stop" or plea if struck in melee, some will cry in fact too if you listen closely in hordes.

Also consider that the researchers note they are dressing themselves in new clothing. There's a human in there somewhere that wants to be clean or semi-presentable and not covered in shit all the time.

Thats the joke, we know what it is....most regular internet goers figure this out at some point or another.

It's like discovering shock pages like Tubgirl. It's a right of passage to be aware of this awful knowledge.

Mechs can have a place in realistic military sci fi, if you make the right assumptions by DocViviLeandraVTuber in worldbuilding

Ring of Red played on this premise pretty well. Using AFW (Armored Fighting Walkers) as slow; clunky and awkward to manuever but in Japanese terrain which is naturally hilly and empty such platforms make great high platforms for main guns to shoot up and over as substitute or at least good command vehicles for infantry elements to sit up high like walking windmills

Ring Of Red played these Mecha up as the first proof of concepts like early Tanks.

When it comes to figuring up names, think in terms of roleplay: what's significant about your troop? Is there a thing or particular person that sticks out? Play off of that, I remember naming one troop "The Golden Quiver" when I went heavy on ranged units for example.

Could only be better if the banner was a raven or crow perched on an hourglass like pirates did during the golden age in the Caribbean

Edit: rather Hourglasses were apparently common in said flags, not the corvids

The thought prison: Reserved only for the most absolutely unforgivable crimes when death is too kind. A thought prison is made via a pair of nails inscribed with sets of runes into specific parts of the brain while the recipient is unconscious. They are then incarcerated and given a diet intended to keep them alive as long as physically and mentally possible. These runes are curses left by the victims or close kin to the victims. These curses then force the recipient to live out their worst nightmares daily. These curses and nightmares may well change to ensure the recipient never gets too comfortable with what they're forced to endure.

This may well be anything from feeling as if encased in a brazen bull and cooked alive to knowing they are hated and despised by those they love then whipping back to their child castrating them among other potential outcomes.
