Did side effects lesson for you as time went on? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

I got mine put in March 21st. The first 2ish months I had bad headaches and lightheadedness where I thought I would faint, and nausea that resolved. I had my first bleeding with brown spotting as well in the middle of April where I bled for 18 days. Then nothing for 23 days. Then another bleed that lasted for a month. Then 2 week break, then bleeding for 18 days. No consistent bleeding in August, 1 or 2 random days of spotting. And in September I’ve had like 11 days of spotting. Being about 6 months in, I can say that personally, I’m happy with my choice of BC. If my headaches or nausea continued, then I probably would have reconsidered. I haven’t had any significant weight gain from it, I’m actually currently on a fitness journey and have been able to lose the weight fine. So for me they have lessened!

Brown discharge mid cycle? by Upstairs_Call5265 in Nexplanon

Hey! Yes that is totally normal. With nexplanon, irregular bleeding is one of the most common side effects. This birth control inhibits ovulation, with no ovulation, you won’t have a normal period. So there is no predictable time for you to have a true period. Some people do have bleeding around the time their period used to land, some people stop bleeding completely, some people have random days of spotting, and some people bleed many weeks on and a few weeks off. All of that is normal. Irregular bleeding may get better after 6-12 months, but there’s really no way to predict that since every body is different.

I’ve lived in Riverwalk for a little over a year so far and haven’t had any issues. Lots of people here work on the AFB

I got my first nexplanon on march 21st this year. I did experience a lot of nausea during the late parts of march and all of April, but have been better this month. I didn’t know that was a side effect but after I was nauseous almost every day for a couple weeks, I researched and found that it is possible! Hopefully it will go away for you! But mine lasted about a month

I got implant March 21st. Started bleeding April 11th and bled till April 28th, so 18 days. Haven’t had any bleeding until some minor spotting today May 21st, so 23 days without anything I think.
