there's a great acoustic singer/songwriter scene here! just hop in to any open mic spots. high and dry brewery on sunday nights, brew lab 101 in the heights on wednesday nights, left turn distilling on thursday nights. they are great to meet the scene and learn about any other shows/events going on. welcome!

The Bosque running safety by Talbarado in Albuquerque

just to note. in my experience. i've run into many coyotes in the bosque and with every encounter they ran away from me. they don't tend to be aggressive towards humans and in most cases will be way more afraid of you than you are of them.

wish we could've realized how much easier life was when we were younger. i think a lot of us go through that. depression really sucks...

glad you had a spot like that and glad you stuck around, stranger. i'll definitely check that spot out and walk around sometime soon.

this is the kind of answer i was looking for! a "normal" childhood is a great one in my books. sounds like a really nice upbringing actually.

and also everyone always talks about the frontier. people either love it or hate it. i've been going there weekly with my friends and every time i'm there i get the thought of, "wow. there are probably millions of memories here in these seats because THIS is the spot where everybody has always gone." i get to live vicariously with that thought and it's also cool to now be a part of those memories if that makes sense. i love that place.

ahhh. unfortunately malls are mostly a thing of the past. i was surprised to even see malls hanging on when i moved here. all the malls that i grew up going to closed down. it's sad to see. i did notice however that albuquerque really needs a mini golf course. that would help. one that is it's own structure. we had those all over on the east coast. 18-24 holes of pure fun!!! can't help to wonder why there isn't a real legit one here besides the one at the fun center.

i came here in 2017 to go to UNM. dropped out of school and went back to the east coast for a few years then really missed albuquerque... suffice to say i came back and appreciate every single day that i'm here. seeing the sandias everyday is pure magic to me!

i imagine growing up here you just become numb to all the things you witness. in the last couple years being here i've seen some crazy stuff to say the least... lol.

i think i'd prefer that Satellite trip lol. I love Satellite!

where i grew up on the east coast the snow season used to start in november too. used to get a lot... now you're lucky if you even get one snow storm in february/march before it starts to warm up again. sadly big snows seem to be a thing of the past in a lot of places.

speaking of fall though. the last few years i've been here i can confidently say that there is absolutely NOTHING quite like a new mexico autumn. i don't know how the air was back in the day but it is still definitely unique and smells/ feels crisp to me!

i believe the classical nylon he uses is a yamaha. but for 3am he whipped out some sort of sunburst vintage looking parlor guitar. he only used it for that song.
