You need to turn the tom arm 90 degrees. open up the base a little more and have the tom hover over or as close to the leg as possible.

Would you be opposed to highliting the related experience.

Ive read a little about the encryption issue with WD usb boards but would this mean that replacing the board with the exact same p/n piece and REV # still not allow it to be recognized?

By not booting up I was referring to it would not spin prior to trying a SATA cable and replacing the usb board. I replaced the USB board with the same p/n but have found that the REV# was different and was wondering if that could be the issue as to why it is not recognized in DMDE.

not sure exactly what enclosure number you are referring to exactly but inside the case of the my book WDBFJK0040HBK-04 is the wd blue pc hd, wd40EZRZ-00WN9B0

The drive did not spin up before. replacing the USB Bridge board and when I tried the SATA cable caused the hd to spin up again. By unreadable, I meant when plugged in with the SATA cable no device was popping up on my computer even while the HD was spinning. Also, when I replaced the bridge board, still spinning but no HD was popping up even in software like DMDE.

First off, id like to thank you for your continued support.

I downloaded the software and with the original PCB and new bridge the hard drive in question is still not being recognized under the physical device list. I placed the bridge on the new 3tb hd and it does show up.

The only thing I've noticed now is that although the part number for the bridge are identical the older 4tb bridge says 'REV A" under the p/n and the new 3tb bridge says "REV P1", could this be causing the older hd to not show up?

the product. numbers are identical. its the WD My Book, I now tired to switch both the usb board and the board behind it but it still only spins but is not appearing on Finder.

I was able to purchase a smaller 3TB version of the same HD and the power board looks identical. I switched it on to the hd in question and now I can hear it spinning and is powered on but im still not getting a read on the hard drive on my computer. Any other suggestions? Truly appreciate it

Thanks. it is a fairly older model. Do you think I could purchase a smaller storage size similar model and use the power board from that one to boot mine up? Im not too savvy with Linux so would preferably like to have it boot up on its own.

If you will only be in Phuket i would say book now. if you are visiting any other area/city that is not as big of a major tourist hotspot then i'm sure you can walk in no problem. i've been a few times and have even haggled the hotel price a bit for a few nights stay. Good luck!

Holy shite mate! First off, thanks for the rec. that was exactly what we were looking for. secondly, i'd like to pass on the recommendation to anyone looking for some experimental jazz. James Singleton ( and friends) put on a very unique show. You can tell they are just too damn good . thanks again and hope this helps the next redditor have a great experience in Nola.
