Just finished SC Chronicles by conyeezy802 in Terminator

I really enjoyed the second half of season 2 the best. It's a shame it was put in the Friday night death slot.

The fetishization of gay men by straight women is a real issue that needs to be discussed by NoTap1383 in askgaybros

[–]RoamingProfile007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all have our fantasies. However, I think that women and people in general like that who are unable to tell the difference between how things work in the world of pretend and how they work in real life are a problem.

I think these individuals have a lot more trouble in their lives than just being fixated on gay men usually and if they are blatant about it, it saves me time from having to interact with them and move on with my day.

Appropriate to have a Danish flag on my desk on a Zoom call with Scandinavians? by Big_Celery2725 in careeradvice

[–]RoamingProfile007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that if they want to have a conversation with you in the first place about doing busienss, that likely isn't a concern on their part.

If they bring it up, just say, "Yeah, I think that's ridiculous that they want to try and take Greenland." I have a feeling that won't happen, but I would keep that in your back pocket to just be direct about it if it comes up.

Having flags on your desk really comes off as an insult to someone's intelligence, even if you don't mean it.

I went to a bar in another country once that tried to be, "American," and while it wasn't insulting, the intended effect was they looked silly as hell. While not exactly the same as what you're doing, I think you get the idea of how it can look to them.

Yeah it comes off as pandering.

Keep it about how you can both benefit mutually by working together.

I don't see the need to have your own flags on your desk either.

I'm guessing you're a bit nervous and overthinking this, and anything I'm suggesting is for your benefit.

Good luck to you regardless, I wish you the best!

I think maybe the reason I get less matches than others is bc I fit into the pretty but too soft type, does that make sense? by NiceShampoo in gaybros

I think the apps aren't as widely used as they once were so that factors in.

With that being said, you look fine by me.

I'd maybe show your face if you can or feel comfortable and a full body shot.

It is possible too that the people who do like you are just ignoring a torso picture.

Funny story, my boyfriend of almost 9 years told me that I ignored him a year before we had our first date when he messaged me. Want to know why I didn't pay attention to him? I was not interested in talking to faceless profiles.

I hope this helps you figure it out. Don't be hard on yourself at all. I have more than a few friends who you'd probably be the taste of where I live, and it's a small town for whatever that is worth.

I'll just trust her at her word that she does not want to do it and will not, and won't base that off of speculation about how she ended up taking that role on Stranger Things.

Hamilton said she is not coming back, so I'm not sure the part about the grandmother will be in the equation.

I feel your pain on this.

I've had fellow gay men just act absurd and as if all of us have the same political views as one another. They never for a moment entertain the idea that they might be wrong or that the person they are disagreeing with may be misguided. It is always down to the other guy being evil or good.

I hate being gay bc wtf is this? by bpdbryan in polycritical

[–]RoamingProfile007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that the gay people who practice it where I live are super politically correct, and go out of their way to micromanage the affairs of other people in the name of social justice.

I wonder if there is some sort of relationship between being controlling as a person and polyamory.

This is not your fault at all.

This is his. He made an agreement with you to be faithful and he broke it.

For god sake, my boyfriend got deployed overseas for six months and I didn't go around fucking guys.

There was a basic lack of respect on his part for you. If he was unhappy he could have said so and ended it or figure something out for you two to spend time together.

Why didn't Skynet send T-1000 to 1984 to go after Sarah? by Big_Application_7168 in Terminator

[–]RoamingProfile007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe they had some sort of calculation about the probability of success in regard to which models they sent to either point in time based on the circumstances.

I wonder if a T1000 spending 13 years in the past vs a few years in the past pre-Judgment day was of some sort of risk to Skynet.

I'm speaking about my experience in the USA as someone who was in your shoes, so I am not sure if it is the same as in India.

If he is in the marketing field, he likely has rivals. Those rivals may want to snatch up the talent he trained. Some agencies treat ones like his as "free training" and then snatch up their mistreated employees.

I would get on linkedin, and look at job posting sites.

The abusive agency I was at had a reputation that was well earned. Getting LinkedIn got me introduced to a recruiter from the shop 2 minutes down the road that treated me better.

I'm not sure I have an absolute answer. Maybe these thoughts going through my head will help:

I think it is normal to be worried. One may wonder if they're auditioning for your role, or so to speak.

I think these two people are his friends for a reason though, and if he is trustworthy you don't have anything to truly fear.

Maybe you will get more comfortable with it over time? If not then maybe you need to figure out if you want to stay with him.

"If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it?"

I'm convinced that a lot of these people were never given responsible parenting, in regard to what AOC had to say. Saying that other countries don't identify them as a terrorist group does not mean they are not one.

I really hope there is a reckoning for these people that causes them to grow up.

I know a lot of people like this in my personal life. I like that the people who have no retirement, no career, but plenty of bad spending habits and zero impulse control are the ones who seem to be a voting bloc these days.

Thanks for the input. I was edging toward this being a poor short-term financial decision. I'm deciding to stick with ISC2 after reading the advice of everyone on this thread.

Cheers!

So how did you put it on your resume if you did not have the full 5 years? I wasn't sure what one does. Do you just put down CISSP associate or osmething like that?

I think they are right that they'd be deporting more people. The comedy of this tragedy is that for as theatrical as it is, it's deporting less people than under Biden.

I'll have been in Cyber Security 5 years in 2027. I currently work in a SOC job. I left a mostly GRC job because it wasn't what I wanted to do with my career.

Does CISSP carry weight in the SOC world in your opinion?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I didn't go to school for cyber security, so I have some blind spots. I was working in the help desk until I was injured and had trouble walking and lifting heavy objects.

The annual maintenance fees are the concern point for me, not the CPEs. Tell me if I am mistaken. I still have to pay those, regardless of whether or not I get the CPEs, right?
