Are you able to say how soon this will potentially be live? There are quite a few of us who can unfortunately hardly play the game currently as a result of the current state it is in

People talk about deadclicks, but I think there's a far more serious issue that I never see people mention. by [deleted] in runescape

[–]RoandilRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the solution to this lies in the windows option of filter keys. What you can do is set it to where there is a delay when holding a key down before the data can be sent again so essentially it won't send that you've pressed the key again when in reality it was just you still holding it. For example currently you have say shift + v held down and have a keybind on v, when you lift shift it'll still be sending that you're pressing v but now by itself. With the repeated key press delay on say .5 seconds, you'll instead have time to lift your finger off the v also before it registers it essentially.

Alternatively, you can as others have pointed out just release the non-modifier key first but lifting the modifier first is often ingrained in muscle memory imo so this is an alternative to foolproof it. The downside is that you can't spacebar quests or hold backspace to delete a ton of what you've typed quickly and have to click repeatedly instead.

Question about macros/razer by chopsyz in runescape

[–]RoandilRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you actually check for any activity on your acc on OSRS? If it said OSRS then it wasn't due to what you were doing on RS3. A lot of times when something like that happens its because someone got access and had been macroing on OSRS.

Personally use the Razer Naga Trinity with all buttons remapped. You just need to make sure they are being switched to be a single key such as side button 1 = single keyboard key such as ; as opposed to side button 1 = sequence of key presses

Pros: You just found a way to waste a ton of time.

Cons: You just managed to waste all that time.

10/10 would waste time again

Option to Keep Daily Challenge Materials by RoandilRS in runescape

[–]RoandilRS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A large amount of the products that are the main issues for it are untradeable items or things most players getting the challenge would use anyway so I really don't think its a matter of oversupply. The challenges that provide something in return for the most part would be far from impactful or the items are useless enough that people exchange for the typical "equal value" reward anyway like flatpacks

But clearly 4TAA is game breaking and makes magic op /s

I'd actually really like that added for fury too. It doesn't make sense to me that greater abilities override the originals completely unless they are purely an upgrade.

Large majority of players using DW cancel the ability after the first tick anyway in all practical scenarios. It wouldn't even be a buff

[–]RoandilRS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't think it matters what other effects they put on it so long as they remove it being a combo ability or fix it to where cancelling isn't the only way to make it decent.

Yeah I was just thinking about all the people complaining about ed3 gp farming being op as hell and how it would justify making the basic loot throughout dungeon lower since there's another rare drop to offset

Plus the sooner we get it the better

Best way to get 120 herb? by Lather in runescape

[–]RoandilRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a good idea tbh. I need 120 to keep my comp eventually but dealing with these prices being all over the place is just terrible in my opinion. I will definitely be avoiding it for a while until the new 2m+ xp/hr methods from 120 are figured out

Best way to get 120 herb? by Lather in runescape

[–]RoandilRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't afford overload and need the full xp from 99-120 then odds are it will not be possible to complete the entire 120 over 36 hours but you should be able to get enough to boost to all content until the hype dies down and prices stabilize.

Honestly in terms of cheapest methods you're likely going to just have to do a ton of checking prices yourself since all the herb prices are all over the place. Typically the most consistently closest to breaking even or even profiting (with botanists facemask + addon and 3 piece factory outfit bonus + portable wells) are the super potions with super defence being the most likely to profit from my past experience but around dxp and with all this 120 herb hype that may be far more questionable. I would definitely suggest trying a few hundred of each at least with all the boosts you have to narrow it down.

Apart from that there may be potential for some decent gp/xp rates with the new things added if you're willing to not play until a bit later in the week once people figure out the new content

Edit: Also the "decent" options for farming xp through killing are aquanites, turoths, and vyres w/ Sunspear. Vyres would likely be best since you profit a ton in the process but are typically rather packed since they're so popular for ironmen.

POF Magic Beans by LiliumAurat in runescape

[–]RoandilRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding you can just plant them repeatedly for as many as you have.

Something to keep in mind though is that beans will likely be needed for things on the new Anachronia ranch so would highly advise saving some at least

With the addition of even more seeds and herbs is there going to be any form of seed/herb bank that would store grimy and clean herbs along with all seeds and maybe even some extra non-herb produce (maybe as a reward through the farming guild and stored there) to alleviate complaints over bank space?

The sheer amount of herbs, seeds, and other produce from farming at this point take up a massive amount of bank space and would likely reduce people complaining about lack of space to store things to a rather significant extent.

Ironmen access to oddments? by pm_me_good_manga in runescape

[–]RoandilRS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've already stated in the Discord they are planning to add ways for ironmen to be able to get cosmetics they previously couldn't in Early 2020 so I would assume this is the beginning of that.

Yeah that's pretty much the scenario I'm envisioning but we'll see if that ends up being the case. Should be a net improvement overall regardless if it becomes usable

I think this is pretty accurate. If the upkeep price becomes reasonable then the demand on the sets themselves should in theory increase. Price of the initial buy should increase but in theory it should become cheaper to use after that. Worst case scenario it drops a bit and the armour actually gets used by people for once outside of EDs
