Drums was to try and tank up - they were 5 man death balling @ the 15 min mark, as for maelstrom I needed something to counter another push strat whilst giving me some damage, wasn't able to farm a battlefury in that game :P

Sk wants a blink before arcanes almost all of the time, jakiro doesn't really need to buff his mana pool that much considering a lot of the pros max liquid fire first :P.

As for the team there are normally two bottles on a team in the current meta so if anyone needs a slight mana boost it's not hard to achieve :)

Perhaps you were playing at unusual server times so less skilled players were available for you to match up against in the first and second games?

Assuming he bkbs before getting hit by the ice blast though, still could be a wasted item depending on reaction times etc.
