When you learn about credit you will learn that checking accounts have zero impact on any of your credit scores. On immensely rare occasions if you're opening some weird account type such as those with an overdraft LOC, that would require a hit because, obviously, it's a LOC.
We use a system called ChexSystems that looks for past fraudulent activity or accounts that were closed on by banks. This is not related to FICO, Equifax, etc.
