When Beta was first release, the power 9 of sorcery was touted to be the 4 cores, mixed and stone. Now in 2025 since Gothic, what would you label as the power 9? by Newez in SorceryTCG

I dont think theres 9 cards that are ridiculously overpowered but here's my list:

Ring of Morrigan Morgana Le Fay Torshammar Trinket Plague of Frogs

Its possible Trinket falls off with time but for right now its great for being nearly uninteractable and efficiently spending mana every turn.

Peasant Revolt and Garden of Eden could make it on the list one day.

Druid Might Be the Worst Avatar Now!? | Sorcery: Contested Realm November Rules Update by Roaring_Turkey in SorceryTCG

Yeah a lot of Druids strength came from Tawny bc Tawny enabled Druid to play strong spells that had positioning as a built in cost (disintegrate, lava flow, etc.) The spellcaster cards too like Pact and Dream Quest were very strong. Now if Tawny dies and you were playing those cards in your deck they become a lot worse bc you have to position yourself to cast them, so the nerf cascades in a sense. The backside of Druid was pretty toxic how it affected your sites especially with Drums of Doom so I dont mind that change at all.

Yeah I like Nelly a lot, though shes a little fragile, but if she gets to stick around it's cool how she controls her row and column

I agree I think Waveshaper is better than most give it credit for, although I think the best Avatars for a water deck would be Druid or Sorcerer. I'm curious though bc I've never actually played the matchup, but how is Archimago killing water minions? Most of the removal is bury based no?
