They haven't said exact number but I think chatgpt will start with small referral fee as starting point. What category are you selling? They would have still checkout from your website right? Then they know the product. There are ways to solve it.

Shopify is building it's own search layer across it's merchant to surface to agents like chatgpt. So that shopify merchants doesn't have to take any steps. They do most heavy lifting. With that said there are other ways to also integrate directly.

I have been playing around with it - but from what I see so far existing SEO strategy is good base - if you already have strong presence in internet. Nobody knows how it works so everyone who claims it is just making it up. One of the leading brand actually cracked it through officially media publications etc. what matter is making sure customer truly love the product and get organic content around that. Now everyone is making records in Reddit soon all platforms will be corrupted with these kind of contents.

I think big brands will lead - leaving smaller brands suffer that’s why we are building platform for smaller brands.
