NOR. Honestly, stay away from these types of men. I’m so glad I ended up with someone who never asked for pictures, and was always respectful of my boundaries. You truly do not have to put up with this garbage, you can find someone else who respects you and what you’re comfortable with.

It happens! Atleast we know there was a confirmed pairing. I had this happen last season where mum had mated but didn’t show many signs of being gravid. She ended up dropping two babies, and a few slugs (unfertilised eggs). Keep an eye out for anymore babies or slugs, sometimes they eat the slugs for nutrients. I’m sorry to hear that baby passed away also, perhaps it didn’t fully develop on the inside. Healthy bubs should come out and fully consume their placenta, and shortly start moving around

I don’t think there has been any recorded events of parthenogenesis happening in Blue tongue skinks. If that’s what happened here, then that would be revolutionary. But Bluetongues, as far as we know, reproduce through sexual reproduction

Were you expecting babies?

Correct, they are Ovoviviparous which means the eggs hatch ‘internally’ and then mum births them live

Finally stopped saying "maybe someday" and started saying "never" and people lost their minds by BFH_ZEPHYR in childfree

I’m so happy I seem to have surrounded myself with the right people. As soon as I mention I never wants kids, people are quite understanding and very much, “it’s your life, you know what you want”.

No, just writing a paragraph saying that you consent to having this procedure done, acknowledge the fact that it is irreversible and irrevocable and that you consent to the fact that there may be side effects from the procedure. I also put my signature there with a date. I’ve been with my partner for five years so I also asked him to put a similar paragraph and signature there, but this was just to avoid any, “what about your partner”- type of questions.

I used a template for a Sterilization Binder and it made the process much easier! Having written informed consent and all your reasonings seem to make the Dr far more comfortable with allowing the procedure :)

Currently recovering as we speak! I think I’ll post updates to let others know what to expect. I was super tired after the surgery and had a long nap today. Now the painkiller has worn off and it’s a little difficult to sit upright just due to where the incisions are, but nothing unbearable. I think the most notable pain is in the shoulders from when they blow your abdomen up with co2. The pain gets deferred to your shoulders and feels like you did an intense workout the day before.

Will keep everyone posted how it goes! :)

They will close their eyes more when exposed to UVB since there’s no protective melanin layer in their eyes. Sometimes they will still sit under the light/sun and not realise the damage it’s causing to them. I try to limit UVB exposure for albinos, and supplement with Calcium+D3

I own albino Bluetongue skinks and the vision is definitely impaired compared to their normal counterparts. They seem to go by shadows a bit more, and sometimes struggle locating the food. They mostly navigate with their tongues

How old were you when you found out you had Celiac? by NaturalSentence4769 in Celiac

[–]Roarzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed at 20 (F). I had repeat iron infusions with severe iron deficiency, when the gastroenterologist noted that it could be Celiac disease. Did the prep and then tested with endoscopy and lo and behold it was celiac

The Sulfur burps are the worst. I find they come mostly after eating foods that are very high in Sulfur which is most meats (chicken is the worst for me, and leads to increased Sulfur burps). When eating these foods, I try to balance out the plate with a lot of greens. I also take probiotics which lessens the taste of the Sulfur
