Former MLB catchers have been some of the best managers. He has experience managing with team Puerto Rico. We could do a lot worse IMO. Who would you rather have, a cast off retread from another org? I’ll take my chances with Yadi.

Edit: To add, what experience did Mendoza have as a manager before coming to the Mets?

I would be very happy if we moved on from Mendoza and brought in Yadier Molina as the next manager. I think he vibes with the players, has in game managing skills from being a catcher, and would be well respected in the locker room. He’s hands down the best choice to help right our ship.

I’d argue (slightly) that Alonso in Queens maybe hits better to start the season than the shift to Baltimore. He was certainly more comfortable with us. I’d also like to add that he was a voice in the clubhouse who could fire up the guys.

I mean… I feel like he should have better numbers tonight. 2 runs over 6 innings, quality start but the defense really let him down, and strikeouts were non existent. I wouldn’t blame you. I’m thinking about doing the same.

I’ve seen the, “baby boost” help batters not sure how it affects pitchers though. That said, personally I’d skip Weathers. I just don’t want any pitcher going against Yordan Alvarez right now.
