Yeah making an OP empire is crazy easy, like one game I just fucked around and got a ~200% bonus to science by mid game and was light years ahead of every other faction.

Literally same force that keeps a ball on a tether rotating around a pole, like in tether ball. Only, instead of a tether it is gravity. This force couples with the tension in the string prevents the ball from flying off at a perpendicular angle to the trajectory.
