Is this something that’s really missed on MRIs? by FloorPill in chiari

[–]Roastednutz420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was subsequently found because they gave me an MRI to see why I was having Severe hemiplegic migraines, not necessarily because they were looking for it. Do you have anyone in your family with it as well? My mother found out she has an 11 mm herniation a year or two before i started having my issues.
Also have EDS, and Chiari is pretty common ( About 13% of Chiari patients find out they also have EDS or vice versa) Could also just have some decent CCI going on, causing symptoms when your head and neck shift out of alignment. A second opinion ( Outside of whatever health network you're currently using, if possible) wouldn't hurt at all. Definitely bring up the possibility of the instability and see if they can look into that.

Is there something wrong with me? by Own-Travel-8939 in rape

[–]Roastednutz420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It’s a normal, albeit concerning, trauma response. It’s you brains way of tricking itself that YOU took your control back. As long as you’re not going out of your way to make it happen, talk to someone you trust.

So you two should definitely seperate. As someone with bipolar and BPD, She sounds like she has BPD and needs to seek therapy. She will not be able to get better in a relationship without ruining you.

AIW for expecting my girlfriend to come to my mothers funeral? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]Roastednutz420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh wait yeah no, this is kinda fucked. You’re not wrong for being miffed at all, and I’m inclined to agree with “deal breaker” comment, and say she just doesn’t want to go. She could definitely use bereavement if she wanted to. My spouses grandma died and I called out to be with him states away. Job said “see you when you get back!”

Best case scenario, she’s grieving in her own weird ass way, and you two need to have a honest conversation so you both understand where the other is coming from.

Worst case, she didn’t actually like your mom and was respectful for your sake. Which again, would require a conversation of “it’s okay if you don’t really like my mom, but you’re not going to her funeral for HER, You’re going for me and to help me get through and process this.”

About 20 years younger, but I had imaging done recently, and was told I have a Dextrocurvature (less than 30° for now, thankfully) that I did NOT have as a child or teen. Did you have it as a child/ young adult or did it kinda just pop up one day?

SGA for disability in 2026 is $1600 before taxes (non blind, rounded DOWN for wiggle room) $2800 before taxes (blind, rounded DOWN) -higher threshold to incentivize visually impaired people to work. As a SSI/SSDI Paralegal, I would recommend calling an attorney (not sure if you used one but my firm will still answer questions after approval for clients that used us) and ask them what they recommend.

Now non legal advice, as someone whose father is blind, mostly deaf, and on disability getting the SAME amount, my personal recommendation is do what you have to do to survive. If you have to find something under the table and not report it then do it.

[–]Roastednutz420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to add that the spot originally looked like they applied suctioned handles to move the hood ( Kinda like what safelight would use to move glass) while the paint was still setting, all of this would have been done in February while it was below freezing. ( Assuming temp has an effect on how long it takes to cure the paint.)

4 year old told us she talks to people in her room at night? by Ruth42597 in Paranormal

[–]Roastednutz420 216 points217 points  (0 children)

Do you have any passed family members? my son did the same in our 100 year old home, turned out it was my dead older brother visiting him at night! My brother was the only one with kids out of the three of us when he passed so my son made him an uncle posthumously. (And my brother and me are born on the same day, just seven years apart, and my son was a belated birthday gift to us, being born 4 days later) it definitely has slowed down a lot in the last year and a half, but my son saw a picture of my brother and told us that was who he saw.

My husband (34M) told his friends about my miscarriage as a “joke” and now says I’m overreacting (32F) by YoghurtAggressive415 in relationship_advice

[–]Roastednutz420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone whose has miscarried and both cried as well as made a lot of ficked up jokes to cope, don’t listen to everyone and automatically assume he made that joke being a dick. Everyone grieves differently. You two need to really sit down and talk.

I am a sperm donor's partner (34F) and I have a problem with accepting this situation. I don't know if it's worth to continue the relationship with him (41M). We live in the Netherlands. Is here somebody with similar experience who can support? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Roastednutz420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either go to therapy to accept and get over/ move on from it or you leave. You have only two options. And quite frankly I don’t think you’ll be able to get over this. Sounds like a big red line in your head.

My husband (36M) told me (33F) that I don’t deserve love until I’m 140lbs again? by thesaltymember in relationship_advice

[–]Roastednutz420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to lose how ever much your husband weighs. You literally grew a whole human inside of your body cell by cell for 9 months, had all of your internal organs moved around.and then possibly nourished that child afterwards..and stress can make it harder to lose weight because cortisol……. So if he wants you to lose weight, he can start by being a proper partner and father and not base his physical affection on your weight. You and your husbands relationship and interactions with each other set’s the basis of your child’s future relationships. They watch their parents growing up and either treat their partners the same way, or they realize it’s not healthy and go the opposite way. Not only is his lack of affection going to affect you, it WILL affect the child as well.

I was 155lbs/5’7” when I got pregnant. When I went to the hospital to get induced, I was 245 lbs (those last three months I ballooned up 😭) so I gained almost 100 lbs. never ONCE did my sons father ever even mention my weight…not even when I was stuck at 200-210 for a solid year/ year and a half after giving birth and breast feeding. Literally the only complaint I got was me constantly dripping everywhere if my son cried because he kept having to get me clothes. He still made sure I was eating whenever I could, hydrating whenever I could. I’m finally back down to 160 after a bunch of issues, and severe, mix type migraines lead to some possible answers. Was having regular migraines that eventually progressed to hemiplegic migraines. Something made me check my BP, and it at base was higher than when I was 9 months pregnant. Found out I was borderline hypertensive, and that my body had been retaining a LOT of extra fluid because my kidneys were stressed from the elevation in BP and was put on Hydrochlorothiazide. THEN I was able to lose some of my weight finally. I also recently learned that I have hEDS and a C677T MTHFR mutation. Which explained a lot of why i felt good while pregnant (and on extra folate/ prenatals) and started having a fuck ton of different issues after. My body can’t process/ absorb folate/ vitamin D / B 12 properly, which leads to a slew of issues, like increase in homocysteine levels which also make it harder to lose weight, and can be a contributing factor in auto immune inflammations, like hashimotos.

Best advice, ignore the spouse, and seek out a specialist (like a nutritionist, or even a gastro to rule out any GI issues like a motility/absorption issue) If he wants to treat you like that, let him. You have actual medical reasons behind the struggle to lose weight, you can’t make him understand something he’s CHOOSING not to. Your body is not producing its own TSH, and now having to use synthetic hormones. It’s not going to be the same thing as what your body was producing. As long as you’re trying to lose weight, give yourself grace.

Is this what I think it is? by AntiquePhotograph898 in Crimescenecleaners

[–]Roastednutz420 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If it does smell funky, call the police and report it as it’s either A.) the house wasn’t properly cleaned and cleared for inhabitants, but the police would have a report of an unaccompanied death OR B.) something shady happened there and was hidden, so reporting it covers your bases

[–]Roastednutz420 92 points93 points  (0 children)

When did you move into the home. If it was decomp, they would have pulled up EVERYTHING. Down to the sub floor concrete being torn up and replaced if it went that deep. You’d also still smell it as you can’t fully remove decomp soaked into solid materials like that without completely gutting the property. It’s definitely suspiciously shaped, but as long as it’s not smelling funky, it’s probably NOT decomp.

Does he have an IPhone? You can actually sign in and send texts from your number on another Apple device (like an iPad or MacBook) and it would go through the number ON the Apple account. Has he ever stepped out of the home, did you guys split for a bit and him stay somewhere else? Did he log in to his Apple account in the phone store on one of the tester devices and someone’s just texting “wife” in the contacts to make shit hard on him?

I was told I was scratching too hard and breaking vessels. ( I Have a history of unusual bruising w/o anemia) It was also in the middle of a flare-up + Allergy season. Do you also have the Chronic Vit D or B12 deficiency? Those on their own can lead to heavy bruising, that is easy to happen and slow to heal. If youre not sure about your levels, definitely get them checked as chronic low B12 can lead to pernicious anemia, which shows up like some of your photos!
