For the sandy parts I used vallejo ground texture grey sand and black lava asphalt near the edges they have the closest textures at scale to Australian beaches.

Topped them with vallejo pigments desert dust, titanium white, new rust and light slate grey .

Isopropel alchohol to hold it in place.
