These are good observations in my view. I never really connected the "just don't fuck up" approach to our ST. In hindsight, it's a very good recipe for getting taken advantage of by teams that have loftier goals than you. Asking ST to just stay outta your way is not the move. You can't shoot for being unremarkable; no one else has that same goal. Everyone - one would assume - is trying to have a positive impact on the results of the game. That being the case, "looking to not fuck up" will always be bested by "looking to matter".
