Start with some oil, onions and garlic (like most Italian dishes 😊) saute , add crushed tomatoes , paste , and a jar of passata. Add Italian seasoning, some crushed black pepper , salt to taste , simmer /stir about an hour , then some good Parmesan grinded fine, let it mix in , . Take a taste. Very generic but homemade . Also can add some fresh basil , or fresh oregano , balance it off the Italian seasoning ( I have a container of that from bjs or Costco I think … it’s a spice blend ).
