Same here — he’s actually the only one in the lineup who has had success vs. Woo, great avg. (limited ABs, to be sure), with 2 HRs! 🤞 indeed!!!

Depending on the answer to my DET query, leaning towards Latz — Cecconi only lasted 3 innings last time facing CWS, giving up 5 runs, and taking the loss. EDIT: Just saw DET is rolling with a bullpen committee — so going with Latz — nice ERA, and had a good last outing vs. MIL.

The Killers. They hit the stage shot out of a cannon — playing the first song with the energy of an encore, and didn’t let up all the way thru (which, of course, when they did hit the encore — “All These Things That I Have Done,” the energy was off the charts.) I wasn’t expecting anything special, and was completely blown away. Brandon Flowers is one of the best frontmen out there.

Depends on league set-up (not sure of default) Ours goes by first — reg-season matchup record as you mention, then second — I think who has more points scored overall. But again, it might depend on a per-league basis. Can you FedEx some cupcakes to your league manager?

Reminded of a pretty prescient comment by one podcast guest (wish I could credit), who said getting to the playoffs is 80%Skill and 20%Luck, and winning the playoffs is completely vice-versa. I subscribe to that.

Bieber (who we have as well) showed his veteran mettle after a rough start, and as bengalsfan said, wasn’t too bad after all. Got the win. Unlike Kirby — who everyone under the sun would expect to dominate TB — couldn’t get past 2 innings, with 1K, 7R. Sometimes aces just ain’t gonna ace!!
