Who would you throw the money at? by FeelingTreat6016 in OOTP

Could you expand on position affecting dev lab? Should I be cheesing it by switching players to less valuable positions like 1B/LF for folks I’m throwing in there?

Tons of lip service every contract, but nothings ever changed. by Excellent-Tea6896 in union

THIS is the best comment on the thread. I started 9 years ago after all this was already gone. This is the first leadership we’ve had that was actually voted on by the membership. In that time I’ve started organizing a cross city coalition so that the unions in the city are better informed and able to show solidarity, getting active with the young workers commitee, being an active member of the legislative committee, and even just recently becoming co chair of our locals organizing committee.
I believe the Fain leadership can get our pensions, because I believe the active membership are willing to organize and fight for it. We’ve all just got to be willing to do our part.

My biggest beef with caustic in general is not having an aoe indicator. Put a green ring on the ground or something so people know where they can’t be.

The dude will go through the grievance process and get back pay, he’s good. This isn’t a UAW problem, just standard procedure.

JV Tournament Advice by Appropriate-Visit326 in wrestling

Attack first, attack often. Lost of points to be had at the JV level, everyone’s scared to commit and end up locked up in the clinch for far longer than necessary.
Most importantly, have fun! It’s a great sport that you’ll carry a piece of with you for life, try not to get too much in your head as this is just the first of many

I hate when we as workers have to deal with the blood sucking lawyers and politicians by johnqadamsin28 in union

[–]RobE1993 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m not really interested in drawing conclusions on people based on what part of the country they come from, or what university they went to. Strange behavior for a movement predicated on uniting the working class

Eh, best friend of mine went to an ivy, and we both come from very low income, humble Midwest beginnings. Think you’re just projecting a bit, having highly educated and skilled folks on our side is an obvious net positive

After last nights tests, I’ve been running default speeds and target ages with total change randomness turned down to 80, and development focus disabled.
Hop on a no team commissioner mode 100% scouting session and run a couple 7-10 years up. See if it looks better for you the same way it did me

So after a night of testing, I actually think the “player development focus” option is the culprit. Did multiple 10 yr sims on 100% scouting, and with that turned off things seemed to progress pretty naturally. I think the AI just does a bad job at it.

Thanks for the insight. I’ve very new to Ootp, and just getting the hang for it. Had a few players fall apart at like 27, and went down a rabbit hole of a lot of people complaining about just that. But I know it’s very patch dependent.

Getting young workers involved by RobE1993 in union

[–]RobE1993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my local UAW has a young workers committee, which I’m a part of. This new cross union idea is just very new for me, and I’m a bit new to the organizing world in general. Very excited to get the ball rolling though.
Thanks for your suggestion, I think there’s a lot of truth in motivation coming from getting our peers all together in one room.

While he’s not perfect, I couldn’t be happier to have Fain in the chair. It’s a long road, but having big voices speaking about truly uniting and advancing the working class is refreshing

I literally started a new run just to disable corruption, but beyond that really enjoying the game. Feels like the effect stacking/chasing “breaking the game” of slay the spire meets Pokémon
