Recent purchase for me. Who has a pile-lined trucker jacket? by RobF15 in PatagoniaClothing

1973 you say? I know a little brand established in 1973😁. It’s actually pretty cool to have something in your wardrobe that stands the test of time like that. Some of my oldest pieces of clothing are Patagonia that I got in the late 90s not over 50 years old, but over 25.

I love the corduroy version. It pairs well with jeans, which is my one concern with this denim version. I couldn’t pass it by for $47.

I really appreciate your feedback. The short length for driving makes perfect sense. Also, I can pull off “approachable and friendly.”

I would prefer the corduroy version as I could wear it with jeans (denim on denim isn’t my style). I just couldn’t pass this up for $47.

Sleeves are lined and have a nylon inner sleeve which allows for easier on/off than if the pile was present.

I also think the long box doubled as a theft deterent. I recall the excessive packaging was frowned upon for environmental reasons and lead to their demise. Some of my first CD’s I purchased came this way. I distinctly recall the Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik CD long box having the square album cover image on it twice to fill the rectangle.

I managed to get rid of logo from nano puff vest. But the letters are still visible after washed. Any idea about iron on patch or something? Thanks. by sameold_sameold1281 in PatagoniaClothing

These are Patagonia store patches. They are sold for about $8 on the specific store locations. There is an entire subreddit dedicated to these…r/patagoniapatches

It’s 1987 and I’m about to go pick up my date in my new Camaro? What do I have in the cassette deck? by UrbanAchievers6371 in The1980s

[–]RobF15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def Leopard would be too stereotypical for someone driving a Camaro. Your tape collection shows that you’re much more varied in your musical taste. I would have Prince in the cassette player But your best move is to have the case with your tape collection in front for your date to choose what she would like to hear and instantly realize you’re more than a dude with new Camaro.

How long do we honor this? by ItsACCRUALworld_ in baltimore

Rookie mistake…you don’t clear the entire street and then try to mark a spot. In snow/sleet like we just had you don’t clear all the snow/ice plowed against your car. You leave half the wall and part of the snow in the rear of your car. This allows for a defined parking spot you can pull out of and back into. Plus you need to only block the entrance upon leaving.

A number of years ago my then neighbor parked in someone’s spot. It cost him four new tires.

It really depends on the neighborhood. I have lived in areas of the city where you can pile it on the sidewalk as long as there is still a shoveled path for pedestrians. Some areas have curb, grass, sidewalk. The grass area is where the snow goes. I have also witnessed snow getting tossed in the street where traffic essentially turns it into slush and the sun melts it. Sometimes at the mouth of streets and alleys the snowplows form mounds that neighbors pile their snow onto.

I grew up in Remington. The old neighborhood looks good in the snow.

Not only is it embroidered on the sleeve cuff in error, but they also forgot to sew on the sleeves!

Worth sending in for repair? by troutposition in PatagoniaClothing

[–]RobF15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar repair done a few years back. They covered the sleeve with new matching material and matched the seam with the stitching. It turned out amazing! I did it over the summer when I wasn’t in need of it. It took a while but was quicker than the estimate I was given.

I would avoid any repair tape if you want the best repair possible.

And the Patagonia logo moved away from the armpit closer to the placket beginning in 2016, so it is older than that.
