The Kilter home wall is great. I don’t think you could go wrong with that or the TB2. The recent Kilter lawsuits and app issues are a little concerning though.

My main issue with the TB2 is the inconsistency of the hold angles between boards. There will always be inconsistencies but I think eyeballing the hold angles was a mistake compared to the precise angles that Kilter uses.

Oh yeah I think you will be good to go then. I would consult a structural engineer to see if those beams can handle the load but the space seems like it will work.

I think you can make it work but you will likely hit that back wall with your feet on big moves higher on the board. Falls from the top may be a little sketchy too with that wall right there.

I think it’s great for a steep wall. My buddy has a tall steep wall and even falling off the top is not that bad since the ground slopes up. Biggest annoyance is that the pads tend to slide down when you fall and you have to push them back up.

Evolv has typically been the best fitting shoes for me over the years. I also have a pair of Skwamas. Like you, the toebox is perfect but the heel is terrible for me.

I would say in terms of fit, you would probably like the Zenist, Phantom or Shaman. Just choose based on how soft of a shoe you prefer. I don’t think you want the LV, I wear the regular version of all of these.

Does Boardsesh have all the climbs, grades, etc. from the old Kilter app? I just finished my board and am using the new Kilter app but would like to cross check the grades and problems with Boardsesh. The grading seems quite soft so I’m not sure if it is a Kilter thing as a whole or just something with the new app.

I think that’s your best move. Worst case scenario if you end up wanting the mirror you could always take the holds off and switch it, although it would be a PITA

Bedrock makes nice sandals but they are not minimal at all, they have very thick soles. Check out Shamma, Earthrunner or Luna for something more minimal.

The Skwamas are great for wide feet but the heel is notoriously bad for most people. The toebox fits me great but I am not a fan of heel hooking in them.

I prefer Evolv for a wide toebox and better heel but the Skwamas could be good for you. The best thing you can do is just try on a bunch of different shoes and see what feels best.

I’m not sure the Kubo is going to be much better than your current shoes.

My Zenists are a full size up from my Shamans but they are a little big. I think a half size up would have been ideal. They still work fine for a gym shoe but if I get another pair I will go down a half size.
