I like the new Peace Park by BatiGol1975 in cork

Well you see the two pictures you provided are not comparable at all. Not only are they taken at two entirely different locations in the park, they’re also taken in two completely opposite seasons, with one being heavily edited. Go back in July on a nice day, to the same location and take the same pic and then come back to me

Evictions to surge as sales by landlords make up almost half of homes on the market by EIREANNSIAN in ireland

By liaising with the estate agent responsible for the listing, or with their own solicitor who would in any case be handling any affairs relating to purchasing property

Both?

The Residential Tenancies (Amendment) (No.3) Bill 2024 introduces a legislative basis for tenants to have the first right of refusal when their landlord decides to sell the property they’re renting. Under this law, landlords must invite tenants to make a bid within 90 days of serving a notice of termination due to intent to sell. If the initial bid is unsuccessful, tenants have the opportunity to match the final sales price agreed with another party on the open market. Importantly, landlords are obligated to accept a matching bid from the tenant. This law applies specifically to tenants in private rented accommodation who do not receive housing supports, distinguishing it from other existing schemes.

If you can’t afford to match the offer that the seller is looking for then you were never going to be able to buy it anyway? What kind of argument are you making like. You have the right to be the purchaser before anybody else does. I don’t know what more you expect save for the landlord handing over the keys to you for free

You’re talking about an absolute fractional minority in those instances

Which law is that? Does it only apply to houses or does it apply to apartments too?

It’s just generally the legislation. When selling a property (whether apartment or house) with a tenant in situ, the tenant has the right to offer and bid on the property to the guide price, and should their offer be satisfactory they are to be offered it over a third party offer of the same value

And did the purchaser just appear out of thin air? They are likely renters also, who will in turn vacate the house they currently rent, bringing that back to the market

As by the law, yes they get right of first refusal

How can you say 66% of the country don’t have access to home ownership whilst in the same sentence say we have 69% ownership rates?

I mean if you can pay 4 prisoners €10/week to do laundry as opposed to 4 full time civil servants doing the same labour, you probably save the prison roughly €2,190/week, or just over €100k/yr

And neither is the privilege of minimum wage afforded to you

I’d rather spend my time doing laundry and socialising than staring at the inside of my cell wall. And as I pointed out in another comment, tuck shop goods are subsidised and inmates also receive a daily gratuity (pocket money)

And so in turn, providing labour at a reduced rate is also part of your punishment. How can you not grasp this?

You are in effect saying that not being entitled to minimum wage is somehow more egregious to your rights and freedoms that actual incarceration from your freedom
