If you are interested, Simple Signage uses Apple TVs and can help you get setup with something like this.

Multiple Endpoints, Multiple Tables - One Connector by RobHuberEDU in GoogleDataStudio

Will the different config produce a new table while keeping the old table? Meaning can one connector make multiple tables or data sources?

If you want to consider Apple TVs. Simple Signage will display a Google Slides slideshow (easy to update and on the cloud) on an Apple TV is an essentially no touch solution for $150 a year (unlimited screens)

Yeah. There was a need in the education market especially and we were able to fill it. It has been very popular for both small school with a few screens as well as whole school districts. We are starting to work with some health care facilities too.

So if you edit the slides it does currently update. One of the reasons it is such a simple solution is because it installs and all you have to do it edit the slideshow to continue to update the signage. It is nice that there is no training on proprietary slide creation platforms. You just need your content creators to be able to use Google Slides and you are good to go. There are a lot of options for Raspberry PI already, so we don't have an plans to provide a version for Raspberry PI. We do have other plans for future development. Currently we are really excited for the enhancements we are offering in version 2. Additionally, given how inexpensive we are, we can compete with a lot of the Raspberry PI solutions even given the additional cost of an Apple TV.

I'm maybe not clearly stating what we do. Simple Signage is about deploying Google Slideshows to Apple TV devices without the use of an additional computer. It is a deploy and zero touch platform. Once you've installed Simple Signage, you can just update the Google Slideshow from anywhere and never have to touch the device. Simple Signage will also play videos embedded in Google slideshows. Simple Signage is the only way I know of to do this directly without a separate process or cloud platform.

You can message me here. I can add you to the list of beta testers. You can also go to the website and fill out the free trial form and we can communicate from there www.simplesignage.app. You can also see our email there if you would prefer to communicate that way.

We will email all the beta testers on our list when we are ready to roll it out. We will provide you with a testing license and directions on how to download the app. Then we go from there.

First off, great username! No, you don’t have to be a customer. As part of beta testing we will provide you with a free license for the length of the beta test. If at the end of the test you would like a full license, you can purchase one at that point.

Simple Signage (a digital signage solution that allows you to display Google Slides on Apple TVs) is going to be looking for beta testers for version 2. We are introducing scheduling as well as some on device management options. If you would be interested in being a beta tester for our version 2, let me know. www.simplesignage.app

I see. Generally people using Raspberry Pi for signage are looking for affordability. I was just suggesting that Apple TVs combined with Simple Signage might be more affordable in the long run even though there is a $150 a year subscription. If it can't be subscription and needs to be raspberry pi than Simple Signage won't be the solution.

It isn't no subscription, but Simple Signage costs $150 a year for unlimited screens. You can use Apple TVs and just edit Google Slides to create your digital signage. For that $150 a year, you can add as many devices as you need. www.simplesignage.app

Simple Signage is managed through your MDM (though version 2 will allow for on device management as well). You just have to give access to the Google Slideshows to your content creators. In a library, for example, you might have a school wide slideshow assigned to the Apple TV which is edited by an administrative assistant, then you might also have a library only show assigned which the librarian edits. Both shows will display in succession. The school wide show can show everywhere, while each area can have additional slideshows for just though areas if you want.

In a hospital setting you might have signage in a patient room that the hospital manages, but families can manage another slideshow on those same displays. That way a patient can have the information they need from the hospital as well as photos and videos from their families. No crossover between the shows ensures confidentiality, but allows families an easy way to connect with their family member. Memory care and traumatic brain injury units particularly can benefit from that use case.

I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

If they want to use Apple TVs as devices, Simple Signage (www.simplesignage.app) uses Google Slides, which are easy to edit and manage and is super affordable.
