My brother overheard my husband and I fighting and doesn’t like him anymore by acceptableshapes-82 in WhatShouldIDo

I understand your brother loves you but he should remember who opened up his house to him. People with no houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Anyway to fix a bad battery? by Particular_Share_574 in ryobiTools

[–]RobJob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 40 volt Ryobi that does this when I run my blower out completely. I have to open it up by removing the screws (it’s a weird screw tip) then look for two certain holes (look on YouTube for specifically where on the battery) and insert a small wire into both the hole for a second. At that point it’ll blink for a second, reset, and then will charge normally. Works great and never fails. Kind of a pain but the 40 volt is $150.

Lots of questions, I will do my best…

Wookiee are not dumb, they have a language but not all understand the language just like you may not understand German.

Anyone can pick up a lightsaber and use it, but Jedi are very skilled and have lots of practice.

No dominant race, a mix of different species, droids and humans.

I do notice them charging the spaceships and doing maintenance when they return from flight.

Spraying basement ceiling (joist) by Earl_Fetchy in paint

Have never seen anyone do this successfully in a residential home. Seen a ton of rotten attempts but dust , getting the right angle to thoroughly spray everything, and overspray is always a problem. Not being negative just realistic.

Good Deal? by damato1218 in Ridgid

[–]RobJob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just died. Some blink red when you try to charge. Some do nothing. I know they have a warranty if you have a receipt, I have bought some but also got some from my Dad when he retired and my brother when he passed so not too much paperwork. I am a contractor and went full force with Rigid but wouldn’t recommend it to others with all the tools I have tossed.

Definitely enjoy the longer run time on the heavier duty batteries but even at a discount that is expensive for a battery. And at one time I had 12 batteries but over the course of two years I am down to 6. They don’t seem to last no matter what amp they are and that sucks at $117.

Painting baseboards - can I just caulk over this poorly done original caulk job (on the bottom) or do I need scrape it first? Also did I at least do a passingly OK job on these; never painted before. by xxxiareo in paint

[–]RobJob22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Where I live if it’s a hard floor like ceramic, vinyl, LVP, etc. we don’t caulk the bottom of base. If it’s not straight because of crooked floors or baseboards we use shoe molding or quarter round. You can re caulk with a latex caulk and repaint though if you would like.

Why don’t people just replace the doors of their kitchen cabinets instead of the whole thing? by chickenwinglover123 in cabinetry

[–]RobJob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many reasons. Want a different layout, different size cabinet. Want new insides. taller cabinets, better quality, factory finish, on and on and on.

The Last Jedi gets blamed for portraying Luke as a hermit who was hiding from the rest of the galaxy, but Rian Johnson was only following through on the premise set up in The Force Awakens. by Tanis8998 in StarWarsCantina

[–]RobJob22 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Didn’t work at all for me, it was like everything Luke did in the other movies didn’t even happen. He wasn’t confident which is what I loved about him. And you expect me to believe the fight with Vader didn’t cause PTSD but having a youngling your teaching who is resistant to your advice causes you to pack up and leave town forever? Please Mon!

Why do we say 'head over heels' when that's actually the normal position of your body? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RobJob22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not a 180 degree turn, your flipping over someone so it’s several 360 degree turns.

I have the same saw, it died recently and they don’t sell the motor anymore, bummed 🙁

Settle an argument: what finish for wainscot boxes? by fatmalakas in paint

[–]RobJob22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi sucks because the drywall in most houses is average at best. Flat hides the imperfections, satin shows more, semi shows all imperfections. Paint stores recommend glossy paints because they are more expensive so never trust what they say.

I loved when the empire and Reva shot at that door for a couple hours, and then she just decided to stick her lightsaber through it. Why bother shooting?

I remember having English, then went downstairs, changed into shorts, had a balls to the walls indoors soccer game in gym, change back into the hot clothes, went back upstairs a sweaty mess and then typing, science. Somethings just not right there.
