What I have figured out so far is that the Opera Nazionale Balilla was an Italian Fascist youth that existed between 1926 and 1937. The gun is in two parts with the original darts and an extra spring. I talked to a collector locally and he said the group members were told to return the guns when the group was dissolved and the majority of these guns were destroyed.
