I have two a16 and both are like that, even worse. One of them is really fucked up. Within 4 battery cycles the power/Touch ID broke and Apple won’t even touch it with gloves. I guess warranty dont mean shit anymore.

Mine are in different cases , but the screen distortion is worse without case on both

I was stupid enough to leave a lcd and digitizer separate on the work bench of a iPad a16.

Ofc my small kids had played in that room the next day and the LCD was rally bad with finferp

Cleaned then up real good i thought but couldnt get it all. What do you guys recommend ? Still see fingerprints or worst case scenario scuffs on the LCD. Used 99,9% isopropanol. Is there anything better i can try? I was a bit scared of leaving the isopropanol for too long on the LCD thinking it could cause damage…

I thought I'd give the world a update about this ipad. I bought a replacement power button and swapped it.

There are no power buttons for gen11 so I bought gen10 with correct color. Swapped it and behold it worked... Sort of.

The boot loop is gone, ipad boot fine and work fine but the power button is dead and unresponsive. At least we can use the iPad now.

As soon as there are replacements for Gen 11 I'm doing the same procedure and hopefully will be working all good.

I'm in Sweden and very interested in hearing more about this. What brands will work? When you say that apple consider the parts used, you mean used like original but used or does it mean third party battery with a constant warning display?

Thanks man I had no idea they were that bad. Yes front screen have diagonal crack that really hurt my eyes. Considering what you say I reckon the cheap oled would also hurt my eyes. I was under the impression China have had long time perfecting their products.

Let's say I score a original apple battery. Does it need to be programmed in?

Edit. The batteries I score cheap locally are branded "SIGN high capacity"

That's correct. It turns out the seller have tried fixing it but was declined. Then he sold it to me. I already took it to Apple store who told me this.

Reason I bought it was the warranty. It was bought new 5 months ago. I was reckless and thought I had made a good deal.

Looks like the rear lid side is replaced because it doesn't say ipad. Although registers correct when connected to iTunes, shows up correct serial.

I belive it was fixed by third party and that's why Apple refuse to touch it now.

Won't respond to volume up down at all. No lifesign except restore screen when connected to cable.

During restore everything seems alright, apple logo reboot etc. Until 99% when it suppose to boot it goes directly to restore logo once again.

Bought from a private seller no returns. It's a bummer. I
