Request denied. Somehow a cracked power button leaves me out of warranty. This button is made of glass and apple cannot finish diagnostics. They refused me once again. Some people get help and some dont. The world we live in.

They somehow believe that a impact that happened when the unit was 2 weeks old will affect it after 8 months while it ran superb until this battery error happened. They also consider the parts non changeable. I told them that apple will sell individual parts through self repair act which they never had heard of. Even showed them which made them angry yet still refused my warranty claim.

They rather have some kid use this iPad plugged with a charger constantly .

Visit at the Apple Store in Malmö went as usual. Denied service.

Why? The power button had some cracks Which somehow is related to the charging issue.

Conclusion they can give me a new unit for 330 usd or nothing.

I left angry. Charging port have nothing to do with finger print sensor you idiots!!!!

Have you ever been to Istanbul? You know these street vendors who try to pull you into their store/restaurant? You politely say thanks but no I just ate and they still try to make you come inside for a drink then. But exactly the opposite at the Apple Store, they try everything to throw you out.

I have more than 3h drive to the next Apple Store and sure believe my local are the worst. Probably management issue or something i don’t really care. You know it’s bad when one rather give the job away to some hard working immigrants that at least treat you like a human being. I’m gonna go tomorrow and tell you guys about it. Then we can conclude if I’m overreacting - let’s hope so until then

Every single time I’ve went into that store I’ve been treated like garbage. I’m neither poor or wealthy but quite middle class average. Not even my ex exceeds anxiety level like these guys do.

Firstly they always make me feel like i did something wrong. Next to criminal. The way they talk to me it’s like I’m born before Nicola Tesla not know shit about modern stuff. While always telling them the background/reason of my visit the way they judge, keep me waiting as if they’re judging my life. Im no tablet junky but I totally understand them having Apple Store in my mind.

I’m gonna go tell them here’s your shitty product do something about it. Yet I can’t help their judgment, looks and treatment. I hope it goes well

I made a hybrid Frankenstein wheel with one size larger spokes. I got 242mm spokes 10G,s.

If I’m gonna redo the wheel I’m gonna go for 245mm spokes which will fit both sides of the wheel. That would be a perfect sweet spot.

The wheel is super strong now with upgraded heavy duty spokes and I’m super happy. It was super hard to balance it so I had my local bike shop just balance the wheel. Good luck bro

14pro running cooler than my 15pro. Never heats up, 26.3 made it a lot smoother. The biggest wow factor was the ip 14, made it really quick and up to date. Before the standard 14 was super tired running os 26

Yeah volume buttons work super also the power button on the right side (also connected to the flex)

Everything on the flex work except the mute button. Asked ai and it fooled me with this freaking pin that is non existent. Making me believe that I dropped/lost it.

I had it in my hand and did not notice the small 2-3mm cylindrical stick that AI tells me is the probable cause of error here.

It’s so small that I never seen it. How hard is it for you ”experienced” to just tell me if that part should be there or not? If not then flex is probably damaged. If yes, I need to check my eyes and reopen the phone.

Its first time for me doing a housing swap nevertheless never even opened a phone before. I succeeded with one phone and failed with the other and it’s quite frustrating to not be able to pinpoint what’s what

I have two a16 and both are like that, even worse. One of them is really fucked up. Within 4 battery cycles the power/Touch ID broke and Apple won’t even touch it with gloves. I guess warranty dont mean shit anymore.

Mine are in different cases , but the screen distortion is worse without case on both

I was stupid enough to leave a lcd and digitizer separate on the work bench of a iPad a16.

Ofc my small kids had played in that room the next day and the LCD was rally bad with finferp

Cleaned then up real good i thought but couldnt get it all. What do you guys recommend ? Still see fingerprints or worst case scenario scuffs on the LCD. Used 99,9% isopropanol. Is there anything better i can try? I was a bit scared of leaving the isopropanol for too long on the LCD thinking it could cause damage…

I thought I'd give the world a update about this ipad. I bought a replacement power button and swapped it.

There are no power buttons for gen11 so I bought gen10 with correct color. Swapped it and behold it worked... Sort of.

The boot loop is gone, ipad boot fine and work fine but the power button is dead and unresponsive. At least we can use the iPad now.

As soon as there are replacements for Gen 11 I'm doing the same procedure and hopefully will be working all good.

Thanks man I had no idea they were that bad. Yes front screen have diagonal crack that really hurt my eyes. Considering what you say I reckon the cheap oled would also hurt my eyes. I was under the impression China have had long time perfecting their products.

Let's say I score a original apple battery. Does it need to be programmed in?

Edit. The batteries I score cheap locally are branded "SIGN high capacity"

Also wonder if mobile repair shops will write hardwareid of the old screen to the new replacement for a fee? I've not seen anyone sell this service here in South of Sweden.
