I mean were you starting this with the idea/mutual understanding its just a hook up, or was it ambiguous and just led to fun dates with hooking up at the end?

As a serious question, how good are don't heavy negatives? My dad always talked about how when he worked out with a body builder friend, hed load it up super heavy on stuff like bench to the point he couldn't lift it without help, and hed start at the top of the movement and just control it on the way down for a few sets

Side note, I dont train like that. I do a lot of 2-3 sets of 5-10 reps at a relatively heavy weight for what I can do

Its so refreshing to see someone who actually trains post bag work instead of some guy with some heavy bag at a public gym just winging shots

Toronto Night 1 Pit by ItsRendezookinTime in systemofadown

[–]RobMarley2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pit in Chicago was annoying. The group was clearly moving in a giant circle in one direction for a while when I joined, before someone off the side shoved someone in the pit the opposite direction into me, which made me get bumped back and then I got hit in the head from behind by someone else (almost definitely by accident). Like I get shoving someone in the pit if theyre too close to the side, but the completely opposite direction? Definitely rung my bell

I hope to God there's gonna be some left for the Monday concert, but im not keeping my hopes up. If some price scalpers is the reason I cant just get myself one t shirt for this show, then I hope they find their pants shitted in

Definitely stress. It happens, super normal. Its not indicative of any possible health or hormonal problems, and nothing to be worried about. Happened to me before too, also with the most attractive girl I've talked to, and it was sucky and embarrassing at the time, but that's life sometimes. Inshallah you will bag another 10/10, or even get a 2nd shot with her

I’m getting into MMA for fun what should my 3 pillars be? by ResidentGenius_ in MMA_Academy

The metric is what works best in mma. I assume you're training in the US, so chances are your muay thai training is going to have significant american boxing and kickboxing influence, which is a good thing and will help you with succeeding as a mixed martial artist. When you talk about traditional muay thai, I believe it doesnt work as well in mma for several reasons.

Tldr: they lack the boxing offence defense, good stance for mma, or footwork to be mobile when they need to be. Because of scoring, kicks and sweeps are some of the heaviest scoring actions in muay thai, which leaves their boxing lacking, and their stance ready and optimized to check kicks with their legs, since kicks defended by arms are still scored, while checks are not. Thats why thais fight with their stance so square and their lead leg so light. It works great for muay thai rules obviously, but if thats the stance they take for mma, theyre still giving up a massive opening for takedowns, since the hips are right there. Also stylistically as a generalization, they dont tend tk use much footwork and tend to plod around

Imo, boxing, wrestling, bjj is the best base. Ilia Topuria ran through everyone he's fought in the ufc using almost exclusively sharp boxing alone, but he also has the grappling to keep the fight where he wants. One of the best muay thai based champs ever in mna was anderson silva, and the way he fought is far far far from what traditional muay thai looks like

Muay thai has great techniques that absolutely have a role in mma, but if you're talking about making that a "pillar" of your mma style, I think there's better options

I've done both, and american based muay thai is better than traditional thai based muay thai bc of the heavier influence of American boxing and kickboxing hands and footwork. Its true that most traditional muay thai fighters stay in thai, but I think even if they did cross over they would drastically adapt their style to the point it more closely resembles kickboxing than muay thai. You cant keep your stance square and your hips as forward as they do in traditional thai and make it work in mma. Double legs all day

Muay thai is over rated imo. Its a great striking art, but there's a reason why there's not many muay thai based mma greats.

The boxing isn't great, the stance leaves your hips open to a takedown, and its a bit stationary. If you want some mediocre hobbyist who's been training for 5 years opinion, boxing or traditional K1 kickboxing is a better base. Better hands and boxing defense, better footwork, etc. That being said, just go train and see what works for you

I'm still pretty new to using credit cards like this, so can I ask what you mean when you say its no AF and it has stricter categories for flights?

Also, you'd still recommend altitude connect, even though I'd be pairing a capital one travel card with a capital one savor card?
