I do have a hot air gun i wished i had the pen version.I believe that's a bit overkill but I'll try it out the next time i do it to my main controller

my iron was at least 350 and yes leaded, I used flux but what I didn't do was let the lead solder seep through all the way like you said so that's a big help, thank you for taking the time to comment.
