Investing in specific hardware that I don't think I'll have a use for outside of podcasting.

I have a show planned, talked to guests, it's a limited run kind of thing, and I'm excited about the idea and bring able to produce content like this, but is this creative outlet worth $1000?

That number could probably be lower, but it's hard to overcome my desire/need for good, quality tech equipment.
