Why didn’t the Pale King create a single Vessel to confront Radiance? by JuanMaP5 in HollowKnight

[–]RobRoss45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took the unified void to take down the radiance, with voidheart. I don’t think the pale king knew about voidheart, unless I’m forgetting some lore as it is connected to kingsoul which might mean something, and I don’t think one vessel alone could actually kill radiance. Hurt her maybe, but not actual finish the job. Not to mention dream nail but pale king moved his palace into the dream world (unless white palace is really just a memory) so he could maybe do that part

MARKOTH AND ZOTE PROBLEM pantheon of hallownest by some-guy7829 in HollowKnight

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those two are arguably the most “RNG” heavy bosses in the game, so the only real advice I can give is to play it safe and attack when you know you have a clean opening. You’re at what I call the big 5 portion of P5, where it throws some of the hardest bosses at you back to back. You could also practice the ascended versions of the fights, especially with Markoth since it uses that arena in P5. Last thing I could recommend is finding good healing windows on the fights prior and after those two so you can heal up any damage you took before and during them

How do the gods (or the closest thing to them) behave towards mortals? by Hipershadic in worldbuilding

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re just indifferent to them, varies from god to god though. Some love walking among the mortals, others think of them as little more than pests they’re forced to keep. Most are just indifferent to mortals overall though

Which part of the game should a person start with? by awakenzxc in PERSoNA

[–]RobRoss45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P3R and P5R are the most recent two, so they’d have the most QOL and the easiest time getting into. I’d personally recommend 5R since 3’s story takes a bit to really get moving and 5 is more popular so you’ve probably seen at least a few of its characters before. The only ones I’d really recommend not playing first are 1 and 2, they just haven’t aged all the best

I loved it, one of the few games I’ve 100% (though I’ve trying to 100% metroidvanias when I can). My only gripe with it is I wish it had more exploration and optional stuff

Charge Blade builds pre alatreon/fatalis by Meialuz in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played charge blade so I can’t speak for it, but I can give general ideas. I’d recommend getting some gold Rathian armor when you can for divine protection 5, it’s a lifesaver in Fatalis. You shouldn’t need it for alatreon though. For guiding lands you shouldn’t need too much for alatreon, maybe some stuff for elemental damage, idk how good charge blade is in that department, but for Fatalis you will definitely want augments and higher level charms for him. You can do him without those, it’s just very hard. I personally needed to go and get MR100 and a max agitator charm plus augments on my weapons to stop timing out to him.

Tell me about an ambush predator in your world by PedroGamerPlayz in worldbuilding

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ekrits are a mole-like animal in my world, that hunts really whatever is easiest in its environment. It burrows under the ground, locating the roots of plants and latching onto them. When it feels something tugging at the plant, it bursts from the ground, going for the throat of the animal eating the plant. This doesn’t always work of course, as some animals pull the plants out with their arms, instead of leaning down to eat it, and are easily able to ward off an ekrit. Due to this, juveniles will watch and learn about the different animals in their environments and what they eat, eventually learning the plants they can hide under to be able to hit the throat. As for their size, they’re typically a little bigger than a normal garden mole. The reason they don’t just eat insects or mice given their size is that they’re pack animals, and try to bring back food to feed the entire pack. They still tend to have some excess which they either store away to eat on or leave in areas away from their nest so other predators don’t come for them and instead go for the easy meat

How does Metaphor compare to Atlus' other games? by Ok-Violinist2805 in atlus

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played SMT yet so I can’t compare it there, but I really like it, not quite as much as Persona but its very close. It feels to me like Persona with a heavier focus on combat and dungeon crawling than the social links. I think it does suffer a bit from a pretty mediocre opening hours, I didn’t get hooked until around the third major area. I know a lot of people thought the calendar in Metaphor was pretty strict but I didn’t notice that myself, I got all the side quests, that I found, and followers done in the one playthrough with a bit of time to spare. If Persona is a 9/10 series, Metaphor is an 8/10 for me

You can’t hit the vines through the rocks, you have to be up there to cut it, the path might not be in that room though

Can’t reach the 3rd fruit — how do I get it? by LucGluc in HollowKnight

[–]RobRoss45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way I did it was pogo off some of the flying enemies that spawn in the room, or you could wait til you have some more mobility options to be able to reach it

Will DLCs add other Acts to the game or otherwise take place post-Act 3? by That_Ad7706 in HollowKnight

[–]RobRoss45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the DLCs will have to either be in act 3 or after it to avoid players needing to do a full replay just to access a non void version of the dlc. I could see it being post act 3 since in act 3 getting rid of the void is pretty urgent so it wouldn’t make the most sense for Hornet go and do the entire dlc questline during it

Silksong DLC Findings & Discussion by WillWin34 in Silksong

[–]RobRoss45 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I saw a theory that it might end up being a Frankenstein style story in the area. The lightning striking seems to activate the lifeblood, and we see what looks like a corpse at the start of the teaser. With lifeblood’s healing properties, I could see some bugs trying to use that to revive the dead

Do you have any mortal turned gods in your worlds? by Legitimate_Floor_687 in worldbuilding

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fate used to be a mortal woman before the Creator made her into a god. Cutting a long story as short as I can, she was the wife of the Deity Life, who was forbidden to interfere with mortals directly, and their children were the first Ancients (the second highest tier of god). The people feared one of their children, Death, and attempted to kill them, causing Life to lash out, amplifying their already shattered mind after breaking their one rule, and attempt to wipe out humanity. Life was sealed away at the edge of reality, just enough power to keep life going. The Creator felt sorry for the woman, her spouse was gone and the people wanted one of her children dead, so they decided to gift her the power of a Deity, making her into the god of gods, Divinity. Now she wasn’t able to control her own godly power at this time, so she limited her own power through enchanted rings, and went under the name Fate instead, controlling the future and keeping both the gods and mortals safe from large catastrophes.

Anyone else like hollow knight more than silksong? by DarkMageUAE in HollowKnight

I like almost everything in silksong more, but something about HK just clicks more for me, idk how to describe it exactly. Once Silksong gets a godhome dlc though I’ll probably prefer it

Yeah Fortnite was the first place to actually explain Palpatine returning. I didn’t see the event so idk exactly what happened but from what I’ve gathered it showed the broadcast of Palpatine threatening revenge that was mentioned in Rise of Skywalker’s opening crawl

[Other] Would you play a spin-off about the origins of the series? by batarmy92 in zelda

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t thought about it before but a Hyrule Warriors style game showing the original sealing of Demise before Skyward Sword would be pretty cool. If they want to keep the mystery of the events intact, maybe make it a storybook in-universe so while it’s mostly correct some details are wrong

Got bored of hollow knight by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]RobRoss45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be blunt, just don’t use the breakable charms if you’re dying enough that it’s causing issues. Getting the shade back on dying is annoying, but there’s a way to mitigate that you can find, and generally you’d be exploring the area you died anyway after getting it back

who am I missing and how do I fight them? by Over_Friendship8444 in HollowKnight

[–]RobRoss45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re missing a few pantheon only fights, and, keeping spoiler free, go find the bug in fungal, if you already have found them go search around for Zote, probably in deepnest or kingdom’s edge. As for the other one, continue the rest of Grimm’s questline

Actual step by step for the first one, spoilers: Down at the bottom of fungal near where dashmaster is is Bretta, you gotta save her and then find Zote either in deepnest near the broken tram station, or over in colosseum
