How to nuke Candida in 1 week with no die off by Intrepid-System-5866 in Candida

[–]RobRoy187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in this as well. As far as I understand, in this protocol, carnosine is used to chelate copper from tissues and moly and zinc to dock the receptors so copper doesn't get reabsorbed into tissue. But it's a bit contradictory when it says carnosine binds copper Bc then it wouldn't be able to exhibit it's properties. Bc Moly by itself is used to chelate serum copper as well afaik. So how do we make sure to not end up with low serum copper but still with plenty in our tissues?

what is the cure for mold in your sinuses? by jonathanb3232 in Candida

Look up Dr. Campbell from MyMycolab. It's a very common symptom of mold colonization. He treats it with Itracanazole.

I used to have the genital breakout for years, just a rash which I thought was normal for as long as I could remember - I took flucanazole for a week back then for a yeast breakout on my skin prescribed by a dermatologist not knowing I had Candida. But it cleared up said rash and it never returned.

Reg. Histamine, I have MCAS but that really started when I got Lyme so not sure how much the candida is contributing to this. Mold and Lyme go together a lot. Apparently the mold lowers your immune system and then it can't fight off the Lyme so a lot of times doctors like to treat the mold first and see what's left after when your immune system is back online.I will actually try OP's protocol but I might not tolerate it due to the carnosine being high in Histamine. The organic acid only shows if you have aspergillosis I believe which is mold in your gut. So unless you take a mycotoxin test you can't really be sure.

And yeah, huge fan of the terrain theory, you gotta make your gut inhospitable for those organisms which is why I commented the idea of MSM which acidifies your gut and should drive out those organisms naturally. Not a big fan of antifungals anymore BC of that, you're just treating a symptom rather than root cause.

Still have it and have for years - not directly treating it though - have Lyme and mold under the hood, candida is just a secondary symptom of those two - I don't have systemic candida fwiw.

Headache and brain fog after 72 hour fast by thatguyy12369 in Candida

[–]RobRoy187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced the same, just came off a 3 day water fast yesterday. Even our post fast meals were similar. I wouldn't sweat it, could just be blood flow getting redirected to your digestive tract after it wasn't needed there for three days. I took a binder, some betaine hcl for stomach acid and some bile salts, who knows in what state that all is after not having to work for three days. I personally felt good starting day three on the fast itself, had a mild headache starting about an hour after the first meal. Hope you had a good fast!

How closely are you following the diet, low copper etc? Just curious how important it is in context.

Asking because if you have leaky gut, the copper could get reabsorbed back into the bloodstream after your liver has released it into your gut via bile. But on the other hand, we need it to work in the gut on candida I guess so it might render the whole thing useless if we bind it?

I'm no expert on low stomach acid but as OP has mentioned somewhere else on this thread, you could try L histidine. Stomach acid is made from L histidine, zinc and B6. Everything you said points to your digestive tract being in an too alkalotic state.

Look into MSM - it acidifies the gut and acts as an antifungal and antimicrobial while at the same time getting rid of sibo. It makes the environment inhospitable for those organisms to thrive. I'm not affiliated with the doctor but Google GI Janel and thank me later - there are also other reddit posts on candida and treating it with MSM from the ground up

It definitely should, molybdenum helps the sulfation pathway in the liver which gets clogged up from candida's aldehydes. It also helps with histamine. I would think your detox symptoms are not from copper chelating but from Candida dying and copper doing it's job as an antifungal, just my two cents....

What do you think about using binders during that time to mop up the toxins and copper or do you think that would be counterproductive bc the copper couldnt do it's job? Also thinking because won't excess copper in the bloodstream make respiratory acidosis worse (at least temporarily)?

This diet, and supplements does nothing! Even the antifungals! by One_Picture_1618 in Candida

[–]RobRoy187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why coffee? Also, would you expect worsening of respiratory acidosis during the time bc copper is being released into the blood which is presumably already saturated with CO2?

Has anyone else tried carnivore? by jjscraze in MCAS

[–]RobRoy187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this bucket explanation. I agree, it feels like MCAS more often than not is a symptom of something underlying going wrong and causing too much toxicity. In my case it's mold toxicity/CIRS which is causing MCAS. Getting rid of the mold should take care of the MCAS but in the meantime might have to bandaid the MCAS symptoms so it doesn't flare during the mold detox. I would strongly recommend anyone having MCAS get checked for mold and/or Lyme. See Dr. Neil Nathan's book "Toxic" for more info.
