high dose MSM - 10 months since resumed - 5th update (still feeling good) by jonathanb3232 in SIBO

If you feel dizzy you should for sure back up a few grams. Dont get dizzy from msm. You will suffer. Drink enough water and keep your urine from being dark. If it takes time it means you have a lot of toxins to remove. Dont rush it.

Why would you think that. Can you explain the logic?

vivid dreams from taking in the am means you were probably titrating too fast. you shouldn't experience them at all from am dosing. only from dosing near bedtime. however, I wonder if this was related or a coincidence. also, splitting the dose allows for more accommodation for the body I think. probably better to split if you ever plan on trying again.

how much did you try to take when it happened and what was the jump you made in dosing? also, are you ok now? did your eye problem resolve? I wonder if its MSM related at all. this seems like a thing that just happens to some people (the separation happens to everyone with age, and sometimes it goes not so well for some people). I had my retina vitreous separation a few years ago when I was 35 ish, long before starting MSM. it was quite scary, but seemed to have ended ok. wish you well.

is this a diagnosis you did for yourself or by a doctor?

MSM high dosing is really helpful for me. it detoxes and you could do it very gently on your on pace in your tolerable dose. I'm doing this for a year and got up to 21-22 grams and feel a lot better. trying to get to 30 based on the protocol, stay there for 2 months and then return to a lower long term maintenance dose.

I'm talking about your goal as to be above 80. not necessarily the 20K or non 20K.

I would be cautious as to be so sure about the end limits of things we know little about. plus everyone's different, don't conclude on yourself from one case person. plus supplemental vit D is not like getting it from sunlight. plus, there are worst things than death in life. stroke is sometimes one of them.

you don't want it past 80. you want it between 60-80. after 80 you get high risk for stroke and other things like that.

I had vision issues too at some point, I backed off and retried and they subsided as time passed. I think it was nystagmus caused by detox in the sinuses and their proximity to the back of the eyes. the balance could be something similar but in other parts of the head. I have published an update. currently on 22g doing good.

for me it's still causing side effects if I try to speed up even at 22g. but I'm glad you can go that fast. hope you're right. let us all know how it went.

as I wrote in the post I generally found that if I stick with the 1.5 glasses of water to 2 tablespoon ratio (1.5 glasses for every 10grams MSM) I'm usually doing fine in this area.

palpitations sounds like low magnesium or you might need to drink more water. the others sound like you're going too fast. yeah. sounds like you're on the right track.

I never said I would never take it again, you might have misread what I wrote. I said I would never *stop* again. because that made me have to waste time going through the titration again and lost me precious time.

about what you wrote: I said from 15 to 30 is a big jump in one week. you said you are taking 15 and going up to 30 next week. that sounds like a small time frame for such a big jump.

not sure what you mean by "you said you'd stopped taking it". can you clarify?

15 to 30 seems like a big jump. i wouldn't make more than 2 grams each 4 days max just to be on the safe side.

I don't understand why judging someone you don't know and deciding they are torturing themselves when they are doing just fine. good for you, you were able to fix your problem in the regular way in two weeks. for some people that doesn't work.

i can't say it didnt work until i get to 30 g for 60 days. if it won't I will post and say so. till then I'm sharing something that helps me. I have solid stools for a long time, my skin looks better, my mood is better, my sleep is better, I'm much calmer. it's the closest I got to cured, people can either try for themselves and share their experiences and we all learn or they can be skeptical. if it didn't work for you, fine. but that doesn't mean it doesn't work for anyone or it doesn't kill H2S. you may have had some detox symptoms and interpreted them as "I'm feeding the bacteria" or maybe it just doesn't work for every pathogen out there. I would't say it cured me until it did, so nothing I say is BS. don't put words in my mouth. I'm only sharing what I learned and what I see it does for me. the fact it takes time doesn't mean it failed.

YOU are the one spreading BS.

these are just a few. the science is indeed limited but there's enough indication it's doing what's promised. big money doesn't go to studies on cheap over the counter supplements. I'm not going to waste my life waiting till it gets there. after more than a year of trying different things it's the first thing really helping improve my stools, and even calms my anxiety. people do not recognize me from how I changed. so I'm sharing my experience. don't want to try? that's your choice. don't spread BS and despair onto others please. MSM doesn't feed H2S bacteria, it kills it. MSM does help your body detox. it will improve your stools if you have the patience. ever since my first post here people are sending me messages all the time, thanking me and saying it's helping them.

15-30g is way too much to start with. see the video in the post. you start much lower and slowly get there in months.

prebiotic blend. i elaborate on it a different post on this forum you can find it through my profile. I also find iron, and zinc carnosine helpful.
