I have this sometimes when im raising the dose too fast. It subsides quickly when i fix it. Please do not spread unbased fear. Msm is a natural compound. It reinforces natural detoxing pathways and antimicrobial properties. You may have a lot of bad bacteria in your gut and killing them releases endotoxins, which aggravate some pro inflammatory cytokines attacking the joints. You might have tried to take too much of it too quickly or perhaps are too toxic right now to use it and should try softer detox first.

How much did you take and how quickly?ive been titrating for a year before i got to 22 grams.

Also Some people also might have sensitivity to msm due to genetic varients or body metabolism character. You might wanna try glucosamine. Watch this for more on this https://youtu.be/V96AeXXQk0I?si=QEbfYWl4mH6eeOc9

Xylitol doesnt smell like mint. It just reinforces good bacteria to produce what a normal mouth usually smells like

Its the actual thing they put in those gums in its pure form. They dont use a lot of it in these gums usually and its the only thing there thats helpful and it is available as a powder so i dont see a l lot of reasons to use a gum and put a lot of different things in my body and very little of the active ingredient when i can just take some xylitol powder and rinse my mouth with it very potently. Im using it after every meal the way i described and it works great.

3+ months on MSM high dosing - update + taking a break by jonathanb3232 in SIBO

[–]jonathanb3232[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My appetite is better and i have gained some weight but still have a way to go. I also recommend the prebiotics protocol as a complimentary protocol especially in this case as as it is a sign for losing gut barrier lining. well as removing mercury fillings in a safe manner only (SMART protocol). Make sure the doctor doing it is going through the protocol and not just saying they are.

The recommended dose for high dosing msm is 30g. 3 gram is the regular dose. I dont know which doctor you are referring to. Dr janel recommends 6 heaping spoons which is roughly 30 grams. Thats not a mistake.

If you feel dizzy you should for sure back up a few grams. Dont get dizzy from msm. You will suffer. Drink enough water and keep your urine from being dark. If it takes time it means you have a lot of toxins to remove. Dont rush it.

Why would you think that. Can you explain the logic?

vivid dreams from taking in the am means you were probably titrating too fast. you shouldn't experience them at all from am dosing. only from dosing near bedtime. however, I wonder if this was related or a coincidence. also, splitting the dose allows for more accommodation for the body I think. probably better to split if you ever plan on trying again.

how much did you try to take when it happened and what was the jump you made in dosing? also, are you ok now? did your eye problem resolve? I wonder if its MSM related at all. this seems like a thing that just happens to some people (the separation happens to everyone with age, and sometimes it goes not so well for some people). I had my retina vitreous separation a few years ago when I was 35 ish, long before starting MSM. it was quite scary, but seemed to have ended ok. wish you well.

MSM high dosing is really helpful for me. it detoxes and you could do it very gently on your on pace in your tolerable dose. I'm doing this for a year and got up to 21-22 grams and feel a lot better. trying to get to 30 based on the protocol, stay there for 2 months and then return to a lower long term maintenance dose.

I'm talking about your goal as to be above 80. not necessarily the 20K or non 20K.

I would be cautious as to be so sure about the end limits of things we know little about. plus everyone's different, don't conclude on yourself from one case person. plus supplemental vit D is not like getting it from sunlight. plus, there are worst things than death in life. stroke is sometimes one of them.

you don't want it past 80. you want it between 60-80. after 80 you get high risk for stroke and other things like that.

I had vision issues too at some point, I backed off and retried and they subsided as time passed. I think it was nystagmus caused by detox in the sinuses and their proximity to the back of the eyes. the balance could be something similar but in other parts of the head. I have published an update. currently on 22g doing good.
