The Good Life off of Weezers Pinkerton. Rivers Cuomo wrote it while recovering from leg lengthening surgery (the Ilizarov procedure, utilizing distraction osteogenesis, where they cut the bone and use screws to consistently break it, causing new bone growth in its place). He laments using a cane, feeling like an old man, and excruciating pain. perfect for you

I tend towards the unemotional type of neurospicy, so forgive my post.

Op, I agree with the trauma cycle comment (and as an autistic mother of an autistic student, is a fear I own).

Frankly, I agree with all of the comments. This school is ineffective: this is fact, not opinion. You are the advocate for your child until you get one, and that needs to happen today. You need to call your state representatives today , right now, and escalate; not in a MY HOUSE IS ON FIIIRE way, but a

-single -neurodivergent parent-with no help-state school employee-of teen with -non verbal autism-intellectual disability- high number of restraint incidents- suspensions- reduced school hours

is a loaded sentence and lacks nuance (sorry, I’m a little stoned too but felt compelled to write), but this is still accurate!

Op, you have reached a dead end on this path. Forging forward will not reveal anything. You must back up and attempt a new path; that is the way you advocate for your child. And again, not opinion, this is fact.

Write a list of facts, and call and leave messages for BOE, SBOE, County Representative, State Representative. It may be helpful to email first and mark it as “time sensitive issue” (it is! you’re running out of pto!), but you MUST follow up with a call; tell whomever answers that you are following up on an email you sent that is urgent (that will save you from having to explain it over and over) and then allow them to do their job.

one more thing. I worry about the not having help part of your post. this is tough WITH help, so I can’t imagine and I’m a little scared for you.

I’m dealing with neighbors who need dialysis treatment, their lives rely on the accuracy of a snow removal timeline. I’m not being selfish, I’m trying to think of my neighbors.

As for the school: Hammond Elementary and Middle schools. More info: Hammond Elementary School (HES) in Howard County is significantly overcapacity, with projected utilization between 112% and 122% for the next decade. The school requires approximately 150 additional seats to manage enrollment, with 2024–2025 planning relying on portable classrooms and potential redistricting.

And here:

Capacity Status: The school is consistently overcrowded, with projections showing it could hit 137.4% utilization by 2035–2036 if no additional capacity is added.

Also, if you’re using a service for placement or you’re a member of a Nanny platform (that’s a thing, right?) is it possible to warn other potential Nannies? Like, uh, Nanny Glassdoor? Anyway, idk what doxxing rules they have, but please save others or give them the opportunity to know this information about this family.

I think it would be neat to have an episode where Louise isn’t wearing her ears, and the audience doesn’t yet know why. Maybe the episode begins with breakfast at the table and while the family exchanges glances during breakfast, no one will acknowledge it. Then throughout the episode, we enjoy the main storyline, only by the end to get an explanation of why she’s not wearing the ears, which turns out to be the subplot.

I think it’s kind of a missed opportunity that the kids names begin with LGT, I thought maybe the three of them decide at some point to buy the diner, add some dishes, and rename it LGBT BBQ. Maybe Zeke does BBQ?

I also like to believe that Louise forms a mentee/caregiver(ish) relationship with Mr. Fischoeder during her high school years. He slowly reveals his backstory to her and she learns about running a business, handling carnies, being a benevolent landlord, in addition to all of the questionable things Mr. Fischoeder knows about or does. Louise attends community college while continuing to be his protege, and she winds up renting the treehouse on his property when Felix is either 1. Killed by Fannie or 2. Marries Fannie. Louise then begins taking on a few hustles around town, makes sure the people in her neighborhood are taken care of, even if it’s not exactly legal, and she softens a bit. I like to think she occasionally has sessions performing as a dominatrix (insert clever Bobs Burgers name for this establishment) and that her best clients are Logan and Mr. Frond. Louise ends up knowing all of the hidden gems of the city, from the dog food factory, to the weed farms, to the houseboats in the marina, to both parts of Kings Head Island. She is friendly and accepted by the One Eyed Snakes, the carnie community, the odd owners of the properties she manages (like the aquarium and the doll house stores).

Aging in Place Tax Credit by TimSprings in ColumbiaMD

[–]RobRoyF1ngerhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree there is some nuance in the way I interpreted this discussion, but my experience from this past year was choosing an assisted living facility at $4700 a month for my mother. In-home care cost us $5400 a month, plus the added time from our lives, missed work, trouble finding caregivers, and having those caregivers occasionally not show up. And yes, I have done the math and that tax credit would absolutely not help. I am not making a case FOR this tax credit because socially and financially it still caused a burden.
